Introduction - Brian

Post by bethebaud »

Hello Rangers,

My name is Brian and I have recently completed my MSIII year as a contracted cadet at the University of Alabama. It has been a long term goal of mine to attend and graduate Ranger School. This summer I will attend LDAC at Ft. Lewis and then report to Ft. Bragg for CTLT.

I was referred to this site through Ranger Silverback and have already learned a great deal browsing through various posts. I look forward to learning from you all in the future.

Thank you for the welcome Ranger Silverback and Ranger Bravo57. I am very interested in the mentor program offered. I conducted a basic search through the site and found a link containing information about the program, but the link would not open in my browser for some reason. Any information regarding the program would be very helpful. Thanks.

BTB,
The mentor program is primarily for young men seeking an option 40 (enlisted contract). There is a chance that one of the O's could pull you in under their wing. Give it time I think everyone is at a gathering and someone should be along soon enough. In the mean time you receive my mentorship free of charge every day!

Well, Brian, as I think I know a little about how the system works, I'd tell you that there is not a more effective mentor on this board than the one you have right now. Never, never quit!

Welcome Brian,

Have "fun" at LDAC this summer. I'm heading up in 3rd REG.

I believe I know a Cadet or two from your school; met them at LTC last summer.

Good luck this summer. I'm going 4th Reg. so we'll be there at the same time. Are you going anywhere after?

Bethebaud,

I'm going to do everything in my power to try to get myself an Airborne slot. If not Airborne, then AA, MW, or anything they'll give me.

How about you?

Welcome. There is an O-Club forum on this site and cadets are allowed the opportunity to participate there. You will find some interesting discussion regarding schooling, assignments and leadership. Hang tough for Airborne School.
