Firstly, to the veterans and current Rangers, thank you all for your service to our country and also for your valuable contributions to this site.

Welcome. The Rangers won't have ANY problems wirh your age. I became a Ranger a few days after my 30th birthday. More than likley, the problem will you accepting training/correction etc... by those with a tab that will be 5 or more years younger than you.

Welcome and good luck!

You mentioned quitting.....

To become a Ranger, you never quit. 'nuf said.

As for injuries, they happen. Many are avoidable, some are accidents. If you are injured, there is a possibility you won't make it to a Ranger Bn.

The important thing is you give it 110% WHEREEVER you end up serving.

Good luck on your journey....

Kudos on a well thought out, and well constructed intro. Based on what I just read, you have what it takes to succeed in your goal (becoming a Ranger). I also was 30 years old when I enlisted. It's all about performance and guts. If you have those, you will earn the respect of your younger peers and leaders. Best of luck to you in your final decision. Thanks for showing an interest in our Brotherhood, and welcome to the site.

Well done intro.
You spoke about regrets, this is the #1 tip... when you pick a goal, don't fucking quit until you've accomplished it.

#2- If you make to Regt. Never leave. Unless you move up in the community

I then asked the Lord: "Why was there only one set of footprints?"
He answered: "The terrain was beginning to constrict and our hit time was coming close. So I put us in a Ranger file."

Dax, there is only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression and you are a success. As mentioned earlier, you are not too old. I turned 27 in on a bus headed for Florida Ranger Camp. The honor graduate in my class was a 42 year old Infantry Captain. The Dali Lama observed that a man should live a good responsible life. In that way he gets to enjoy it twice; once as he lives it, and again when he is old looking back on his life. Welcome...
