First off... who the fuck do you think you are talking to and what the fuck do you think you're talking about?! This isn't something you "probably" will do. You either you fucking do it or don't. You're talking like you are thinking about trying out for the fucking Boyscouts. With that horseshit attitude you might as well stay home, surf porn, play x-box, and keep your job flipping burgers, you won't make it and I definately wouldn't want you in my fire team. Some of the gungho DEP motherfuckers won't even make it. This job ain't for everyone, and it's a pain in Uncle Sam's ass to find a job that you "probably" can do when you quit. So do the Ranger community a favor sign up to drive truck for I-Corps, at least you could be in the presence of Rangers when you drive us to the Maze. You pissed me off with your tone, douche!!

I then asked the Lord: "Why was there only one set of footprints?"
He answered: "The terrain was beginning to constrict and our hit time was coming close. So I put us in a Ranger file."

Abso-fucking-lutely... Good post Maggot.

And as for you 'ecstacy' (By the way, using illicit drug names as your name on here is really not one of the best starts, kind of just lets everyone know what your mentality is doesn't it?)

I know I don't want you with any of my guy's either. Your whole attitude as currently displayed needs to be checked at the door, you want to come here to learn-we've got the best in the business to teach you but when you come in with a name like "ecstacy" then spouting the crap your spouting, your sending a distinct message. One that's been seen here a thousand and one times.

So, the ball's on your side of the field. Pick it up and run with it or stand there with that confused look on your face and let the world go right on by you. It's good with us either way. While you are deciding others will be training and getting better, preparing themselves for their careers. While you simply are smacking only on yourself.

Read the FAQ's carefully, use the search button and contact the current DEP's in mentoring programs. Each of these things will set you up for success here if you follow their advise. And if you don't you will soon learn that there will be harsh ramifications. Good luck.

FYI,

Ecstacy is a methamphetamine derivative that, generally, has been mixed with LSD (aka Acid). Though street versions of the drug can have a wide variety of unknown components.

There was alot of "probably" "maybe" "Thinking of" that is not definative. With a 94 ASVAB score you should be able to articulate yourself better that what you have shown. As you have ascertained the Rangers and other veterans are serious with newbee's such as yourself. Therefore, read more, post less and (I would suggest) requesting a screenname change to something less associated with the drug culture.

Brandon,
You might find yourself more at home on another site. If you want to do something worthwhile with your life -- this is the site that will help you. Remember the search button is your friend. None of us are. On the other hand, if what you want to be is a man who, at 60 years of age, says: "I thought about being a Ranger..." Have a mediocre life!

Hey, Brothers, we all gave blood, sweat, and balls to be Rangers and earn a place at the table. This fucker talks about it like it's a decision between going to Burger King or McDonalds. It's blatent disrespect or incredible ignorance. I'm not a mentor nor a Heathen, but when someone talks about becoming one of us like its no big deal I will make it a big fucking deal and get them squared away.

Ecstasy wrote:Thanks for the warm welcome? I meant no disrespect by any means, I'm just not all that good at getting the point across. With the intro of my well, introduction I merely meant to break the ice a bit if that was what pissed some of you off. As for my username, it is also a state of happiness, not necessarily a drug and it's something that got stuck with me over the years, kind of like a callsign I guess, sorry to dissappoint. I have nothing but respect for the Rangers, you all carry quite a bit responsibility and have all been through hell and back to do what you do. I meant nothing by it. And when I mentioned my score and people calling me an idiot by wanting to still go infantry, I meant to get the point across that despite the possibilities this is something I really want to do. I know that to be a Ranger you can't be an idiot either despite what people complain to me about my choice. I'm sure that most, if not all of you had better opporotunities but chose this course for the excitement, comradery, or whatever your choice to be. Either way, I'm sorry to offend, but Ranger is something I WANT to do, and I'm merely here for insight, to hear what it's like, so I can see how much I can expect to get my ass kicked throughout whatever I may do in the military. If I've really pissed you all off, well, expect no more posts from me, didn't mean to. Have a good one.
Too bad kid, ya let a little cyber heat get your dander up. Grow a thicker skin if ya wanna be in the military, especailly the Rangers.
