If you knew Deke, you probably knew Sump (Mallory) as well.

Both were definitely characters. Especially when Deke decided to go all GQ for Ranger Joes and their catalog :lol:

Sump sounds familiar but he might have been in another company. Deke was in C Co in the late 70s and 80s, I believe he went to B Co in the 90s.
I remember I was looking for something on rangerjoes.com in the late 90s and Deke's Pictures were still on there. I just check and it looks like they've all been replaced.

Deke was 1SG for B CO 95-96 time frame then HHC 1SG for a stretch. Then he went to USASMA and 10th MTN (I think), then BDE CSM for 1/25th when they converted to Stryker.

You just better take that as luck I have seen them make so outstanding shots but the JAVELIN is on point all day long and the RPG accuracy is as good as the person firing it
