I don't know much about dwarf tossing, but I do know that no matter which type of sight they decide to use, the catapult on the USS Theodore Roosevelt can throw a VW bug 10 miles!

Well it is.......especially if you have to move it 11 1/2 miles. You will only have to push it a mile and a half! :roll:

Is it a european or an American dwarf?[/quote]
American... The European dwarfs tend to kick their feet in the air as they fly, and are not quite as aerodynamic as the American version...Besides, I won't be in Europe anytime soon, so statistical data on the American Unit will suffice....

As you all may know, the average 45Kg American dwarf has a terminal velocity of 32 FPS/Sec reaching TV in 10 Sec, we can apply the formula as such

Acceleration x Mass = Velocity

Velocity x G1D1x F where G1= the force of gravity, or 32ft lbs per Meter of elevation (we will use sea level) and D1= coefficient of Drag on said dwarf and F = force exerted on dwarf in Newtons then

AxM= (V)x (G1D1)F carry the 1 round the decimal....

works out to

7.2 Meters at a point target +/- .5 Meter

10.5 Meters at an area +/- .6 Meters

Just remember to tape his/her mouth shut as it will reduce drag considerably and allow you to maximize your dwarf tossing performance.

DanteM, I don't know if we are getting your question answered or not. Do we need to be more specific? :wink:
