Rock River makes a good carbine.

It's a must have item for me now. I find that it gives me more positive control while in a vehicle.

I'm running a S.I.R. with a Knights' front grip on my carbine over here. It's okay (a little on the heavy side) but I'm only using it because we are currently out of the Knights Armament rails. I like those much better plus they are a hell of a lot easier to put on.

Cool but maybe wait until FN has a civilan version of the SCAR rifle. I hear there is a distinct possiblility it will happen. FN already put out a version of the P-90 (PS-90)for the civilian market. It's pretty exotic but ammo will set you back about .50 cents per round.

Aimpoints and Eotechs are both excellent choices if you're not needing magnification. It's like Ford vs Chevy for alot of folks. I like the reticle better with the Eotech but battery life sucks compared to the Aimpoint. Buy both and send me the one you don't want.

REALLY late follow up. I'm lazy what can I say? Springfield sent me new furniture to put on it no questions asked. Still no optics on it yet but I'm leaning towards the Aimpoint ML2 (I don't use NVD's here at the house). Still shoots sweet but SA are really fucking proud of their magazines for it. D...
