Re: and the rumour mill begins...

Every class that has a break for Christmas loses a bunch. Guys go home, taste that sweet poon again, and they lose focus. Priorities change like the weather on Mt. Everest.

Re: Its raining birds.................

I'm no environmental expert, but just taking a wild stab, I would say that hundreds of dead birds falling from the sky is a bad sign.

Welcome, Derek. You've set some high standards. Believe it or not, we have men on this site who've done both of your choices. Wiht the right mindset, either or both can be accomplished.

Tex is doing well at RASP

I recently did some off-site mentoring to three young men from my town, who all enlisted with Option 40 contracts. One of them (Tex), is the son of my former boss. One of the guys quit in OSUT, one quit the 2nd day of RASP and is now on his way to Alaska. I am proud to say that Tex has successfully ...

...There's a lot to keep you busy, assuming you're on the LE end: cedar theft, old growth trespassing, forest product theft (mushrooms, beargrass, ferns, etc), poaching, dope grows,...you name it. RLTW EP Not an LEO, though I do have Barney Fife level of authority below arrest. I do "advise an...

Re: So what is Seattle like?

EP- If we should happen that way, I'll be specifically looking for a job in the Forest Service TC204- ELF bombed (unsucessfully) my department at school about a week after 9/11...I've got a score to settle with them. I used to work pretty closely with the USPark Rangers in the Quinault area....but ...

Re: Army uses Google Maps to detail MOH awardee's last hours

After seeing the MOH Room in the new Infantry Museum (Ft. Benning), I would imagine that this might become the standard. The MOH Room had a bank of computers, where you could research MOH recipients, read their citations, bio, etc. Having a video to accompany that would really enhance their set up. ...

Re: So what is Seattle like?

Like I said, I didn't live in the city. I lived on the side of a mountain over in Grays Harbor County. I had to go up near Seattle anytime I flew somewhere, as that's where the airport is. If you are in the country, it's spectacular. Yes, it rains. I lived and worked in the rainforest, so I got a to...

Re: So what is Seattle like?

I loved the PacNW. It rains a lot, but I got used to it. Get used to seeing hippies everywhere, because they are the majority in that area. I'm talking chicks with tie-dyed dresses and bushy armpits... I didn't live in Seattle, though. We lived in a log home out in the boonies. Lots of eagle...
