Re: Introduction - Mitchell W

Thank you for pointing this out Ranger Cams. First thing first, Warren. Complete your original requisite tasks before addressing my query. But do not forget to do so.

Re: Introduction - Mitchell W

There is a Haitian proverb that says: "Behind the mountain, there are more mountains". Contemplate this and share your interpretation of how this saying might apply to you.

Re: Introduction-David

Ha! You listened to the advice the Rangers on the site offered you, and you ended up with what you were looking for- that's pretty damn squared away. Keep listening to people who are proven and validated to know what they're talking about, and you'll continue to be rewarded. Congrats young stud, con...

Re: SITREP-Cody

Good initiative for knocking a few out for realizing the attitude shift that was needed. Go ahead and knock out 50 more for the fact that it took three messages from two Rangers to get you to that point. You will need to start RASP with a ruck packed full of motivation and confidence- you can't take...

Re: SITREP-Cody

I dunno- maybe I would take that approach if I was so certain that RASP won't be a problem for a bad-ass like me. But I'm not, and I wasn't. Thinking that self-treatment will "get you through" Airborne does not sound like someone who is going to smoke Airborne school and own it; it sounds ...

Re: Just finished Ground Week

Quick SITREP, So I sat down with the SF recruiters and we've began the process of putting together my packet. I've already scheduled all the appointments to get my physical done, I have to take a PT test, which they take place every Tuesday. I'm thinking I'll take that on the 21st since I wanna kno...

Re: SITREP-Cody

Ranger Jim, my welcome back was good, had a couple smokings to get us back into the rhythm of things haha. I am currently in Airborne hold, I leave tomorrow to the Airborne barracks and start school Monday. I do PT in the morning with my group then I do extra in the afternoons. I am also having a p...

Re: Just finished Ground Week

It sounds to me like the SF route would be worth exploring, and I would encourage you to do so.

I would also echo Ranger Cam's advice: train for strength, but within the context of "sustainable strength".

Re: Introduction: Nick M

I think your experience with distance hikes will serve you well; though there is still a difference between doing it solo and doing it in the context of a "rushed" movement in formation. The mind-numbing repetition won't be nearly as hard for you as others who haven't had that experience, ...
