Re: Introduction: Kyler
Kyler, welcome to the site. From my own experience, having a strong body physically and having a strong endurance base is key . Guys who are skin and bone who can run well but can't pull their own weight quickly quit or get peered out. You're goal should be to obliterate the APFT and crush the 5 mil...

Re: SITREP- Brayden
In OSUT we haven’t done any kind of pt besides taking the ACFT and rucking that’s it so far. That's pretty awful to hear. Even with covid we did PT still. Nonetheless keep working hard, and know that when you're putting in work on your own that you're putting in more work than anyone else. Keep tha...

Re: SITREP- Brayden
Keep working on those push-ups, and then work on them some more. Good run time, and same for your sit-ups. As far as freedom goes in OSUT, it's largely based on your Drill Sgt.'s and how much they actually care. Keep working on your PT and you'll hit that 300 APFT score. Congratulations on graduatin...

Re: SITREP - Coppy
Glad to hear an update from you. Both your run and sit-ups are decent, but like you said your push-ups are holding you back. When I went through OSUT my buddies and I would pull out the mats we had in our bay (if not use a towel for sit-ups) and run 50 push-ups straight in to 50 sit-ups for typicall...

Re: I need advice
As far as workout routines go there are a lot out there. "12 Week RASP Training Plan" is a free routine put out by the military. However I've gone through quite a few 3rd party programs. Stew Smith makes free programs for running, sit-ups, and push-ups as well. I could list a handful. Send...

Re: I need advice
There's a lot to tackle here. It's not unheard of for people to full send and do their train up in OSUT and go on to pass RASP but in most cases it doesn't end well. However you're going to want to get yourself in the best shape you possibly can before pulling the trigger and enlisting so that you h...

Re: Introduction- Option 40
Good improvement. Pre-RASP is the bottom of the totem pole, it wears on everyone differently. Your PT scores have improved but they still need work. Find a buddy and run a push-up and sit-up circuit under the Thunder Dome each night. I would do 50 reps of each for 4 sometimes 5 rounds each night. Wh...

Re: SITREP- Brayden
Good luck, and always remember your end goal. It's not going to be an easy journey, but it's going to be a rewarding one. Work hard to better yourself each day. Every member of the 75th Ranger Regiment was once in similar shoes as you are now. It is now time for you to choose to follow their footste...

Re: Introduction - Stephen
Remember your end goal and surround yourself with like minded individuals. At the end of the day it's on you to decide your future. Don't let your potential go to waste like many of the individuals you will meet. Keep training hard each day so when the rubber meets the road you're as prepared as you...

Re: SITREP - Carpenter
Rangers, I'm proud to say that I graduated with RASP class 05-21 and that I'm currently at Airborne School. A lot of hard work went into getting to where I am now and this is only the beginning. I would like to thank all of the Rangers on the site who've helped me and others similar to me along the ...

Rangers,
Yesterday I graduated OSUT. Currently I'm a holdover until January 26th when I'll be sent to Pre-RASP.

SITREP - Carpenter
Rangers, I graduated basic training yesterday. I've made friends with a group of people who are all looking to go to RASP. So far in basic we've done 3 ACFT's and my current score is a 584. By the time I graduate OSUT I'll hopefully be at a 600. At the moment the only event I'm not maxing is the bal...

Re: Introduction - Matthew
Rangers, I'm currently on the bus to Fort Benning. While at MEPS I found user Sniggle0788. I wanted to say thank you for your time with keeping the site up and running and helping those who seek a future in the military. It's been a long process for me, but I'm glad I can look back and see my progre...
