Re: Thank you for your prayers and compassion

We are deeply saddened at this news. Gary, please know all of your brothers grieve with you and are praying for you. Our faith tells us your beloved Linda is in the gentle hands of her Savior.

Re: A Ranger Icon Is Closing Its Doors

No, it means you're old when the place didn't even open until almost 20 years AFTER you were in the AO.

Re: Introduction- Trent

Your ambition is admirable but it is a little late for you to do much preparation. If you have not already done so, read all of the threads here pertaining to young men readying themselves. Memorize the Ranger Creed so you can recite it perfectly in your sleep, because you will or you will fail. You...

Re: Introduction - Johnathan

Your determination appears to be good, which is going to be the primary factor in whether you make it to RASP and selection or not. You have not stated your physical condition or any PT numbers, which must be excellent for you to succeed. Others will be along shortly to address your situation. Good ...

Re: Former 75th Army Ranger Peter E.Kassig Captured by ISIS

Hard to believe this country can allow this to happen, but then, this is the administration which did not raise a hand when its ambassador was being murdered.

RIP, Ranger. May God Bless You and Your Entire Family.

Drive on, Rangers, we will meet at the rally point......

Russian planes to patrol Gulf of Mexico

Came across this article yesterday. Are the Russians overextending themselves? Is this a testing of how the US will respond? Is it because they believe the US is less assertive? Curious.

I subscribe to NatGeo and was impressed by the article. Terrific story about this dog and her handler.

I will admit it took me a minute or two to comprehend the "21 years" thing - wonder how many others won't get it?

Re: Introduction: George

I appreciate your candid answers to my questions. Your "roman" (we say "novel") was impressive and speaks well about you. You have the enthusiasm and common sense logic in your approach to why you want to be a Ranger. There are few native-born Americans who could explain their fe...

Re: Introduction: George

Welcome to the site. You have one of the more interesting introductions I have seen on this site. I am curious to know your ethnic background. Are you a native of Germany? Do you have family remaining there? How did you become fluent in 4 languages by age 22? I know most Europeans are multi lingual,...

Re: Introduction: Logan

Your ambition is admirable, but it appears from your own summary of your background that you have had a number of career choices that did not last. If you really want to be a Ranger, you have to want it more than anything you have ever done. You will not get there by trying hard or making an effort....

One question you must answer - why do you want to be a Ranger?

Re: Familial Ramifications

Don't mean to pile on, BUT.........if you do not follow through on your own goals, you will have a lifetime to regret it and wish you had done differently. As far as the hazards - there is a simple comparison: The first US death due to war was in 1775. The first US death from an auto accident was in...

Your ambition is admirable. As you have been advised, read much, as there is a wealth of information available here. Do NOT miss the PT thread. You need to work your butt off between now and your ship date. Basic and AIT will not be sufficient to get you into shape for RASP. Basic and AIT are hard e...

God bless Brothers. Will be raising my glass to you all tonight. RLTW. Also! I can't imagine being pinned down for that long and almost no air support. My heroes all!!!!! The most dreaded words when in contact and requesting air support "Air assets have been diverted to a higher priority"...
