Re: RASP 1 Graduations 2016

Ranger jim, I am proud to say my son will be among the graduates on Feb 26 and I will be in attendance for the ceremony. Pride is an understatement for what I feel. My son has accomplished what I could not have done myself as a young Army enlistee. Perhaps I helped a little bit in getting him to thi...

Re: SITREP - Yggr

Yggr,

KS finished the 5-mile right about the same time as you. How did you like the 6-mile ruck run? Or maybe since you did breeching last week you did not have that fun. Something to look forward to. Are you ready for your PT test? Tuesday right? You been working those pushups?

Re: Shin Sharp Pain when running?

I would also recommend staying off concrete. Much to hard to run on.

Re: Running in Cold Weather

My 14:45 2 mile went to about a 16:00 2 mile in a matter of a couple weeks. My lungs are on fire by the time I reach the end of my runs. I bet the next morning you feel great. In the '80's, I used to run in Germany during the Winter. We had some brutal cold snaps. Battalion had a 5-mile loop we use...

Re: SITREP - Yggr

Yggr, my son is in class with you. He said he managed to walk most of the ruck yesterday. I guess this past week went pretty quick. How were your PT scores? My pt scores were pretty horrible for this last one. 44 pushups 54 situps 15:20 2 mile 11 pullups I sent you a pm I replied. Now it has been 3...

Re: RASP 1 Graduations 2016

Still standing after ruck. Reports are that 90 candidates are left. The ruck weigh-in was not going well yesterday. One candidate took matters into his own hands and poured water into his ruck before being weighed. The Cadre did not take kindly to that. Three weeks to go. I think he can make it. Mor...

Re: RASP 1 Graduations 2016

Thanks for this Ranger Jim. I am most interested in class 03-16. I heard through the grapevine that of the 165 that started, 96 were still standing after Cole Range. If all goes well, I will be booking my travel after next weekend.
