Yes, they do, for many different reasons. Here are a few: 100mph tape was always on the packing list, and it took up less space if you put it on your mags, as opposed to carrying a roll in your ruck. The tape quietens the mags while being carried in your web gear. Those aluminum mags clanging togethe...

Roger, Sarnt'. Just call me Arvid, or some stupid geeky name like that, seeing as I'm a desk jockey now. Just showing the kiddies how much a waste of time estimating pushups will be. 1000 pushups in one day for a few ounces of water. There ain't nothing like that one on one time with the cadre to bu...

Oh, I almost forgot. The above estimates were per day. RIP is three weeks long. 6,480 pushups/day (est.) x 21 days = 136,080 pushups (est) during RIP If you are a dumbass, and can't listen to instructions - double that. 136,080 pushups x 2 (for the dumbasses) = 272,160 pushups during RIP Are you boy...

The question is almost impossible to answer. There is no way I could accurately know how many pushups I did per day, on the average, while in RIP. It would be a lot easier to determine how many minutes in a given day your were doing pushups. Given that every man will perform the pushup exercise at a...

Tell me about it. I've kicked myself in the ass ever since I left. At the time, it seemed like the right thing to do. The docs told me that my Rangering days were over, due to my loss of lung capacity. I bucked up and said that if they wouldn't let me be a Ranger, then I wasn't doing anything else. ...

My stock broker is a retired Sgt Major, and did some time with ANGLICO. While he was with them, they did some training with 3/75 at Benning. I know nothing of them rolling over to JSOC once the Corps gets into the game. The only one I know of that will is the unit they just formed that is doing join...

You ship out in less that six weeks, have a leg contract, can't swim, and have thought about joining the Marines instead. I don't think you are focused yet. When I made up my mind to become a Ranger, I wouldn't have wiped my ass with the Marine Corps (no offense LN). My point is, I wouldn't entertai...

OK, snapper. Check it out. You need to take a few moments prior to every question you feel the need to ask, and utilize the search utility that the site admin has so graciously provided for your benefit. Then read the threads that your search has referenced. It's not that us Rangers come on this sit...

Ditto, EP. The difficulties I have are a little bit different, though. Sure, I want to go back. I think that is one trait that is common in all Rangers. Whenever we get together with guys that we served with, the conversation almost alwasy goes into how we have been trying /or are going to try to co...
