Re: Introduction-Cooper
Roger rangertough, to further elaborate he wasn't an option 40 recipient and he just needed to obtain a waiver from a doctor. My last statement stands. Unless the dudes toe is so long he has to wear special shoes...I don't buy it. Tough Same here. Both of my second toes are noticably longer than my...

Re: Obtaining a Slot - the Process?
Good luck in your first assignment! Being a platoon leader is a great time! Absolutely. I was fortunate to have a Tank Platoon as well as the Bn Scout Platoon. While other jobs I had looked good on paper and were career enhancing, none of them were as fun as being a Platoon Leader. Good luck! I led...

Re: Grandson presently in RASP
Thank you Nana for instilling patriotism, pride, courage, personal accountability and drive in your family. You should be very proud of your family and will even more proud once your grandson attains his scroll and title of Ranger.

What is a Vet?
Although it's almost four months until Veterans Day, I ran across the following this morning and thought I would share it--- What is a Vet? by Fred Childs on July 14, 2012 Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye. Others may carry th...

Re: Stolen Valor Act
Read somewhere last night (don't remember where - beer) that there has already been a new one in the works since last year that specifically focuses on the fraud element rather than lying. So somebody in Washington saw the writing on the wall. To say I was shocked is an understatement. I just read ...

Favorite Movie
MATH QUIZ: Reveals your favorite movie!! I am very good at math, so I did it in my head, then on paper, and finally on a calculator just to confirm my numerical capabilities. Each time I got the same answer, and sure enough it IS my very favorite movie EVER. DO NOT cheat and scroll down to the movie...

NBC SUCKS
I know I'm just an out-dated FOG with old opinions and am not in any desired political or merchandising demographic but something NBC did today just stikes me as all wrong. Since going into forced retirement early this year, I get up each day to "fast" walk my three miles. I eat breakfast ...
