I'm the tall guy, second from left. The guy standing on the far left is Roy Aguero (a retired sergeant major). His son is a Ranger, a platoon leader with the 1st Cav in Iraq. He was written up in Newsweek for a hellacious half-day firefight he was engaged in in Baghdad. They lost two Humvees and wer...

Thanks again for the heartfelt welcomes. An old warrior could get downright comfortable around this place. Hey Steadfast. Check out the K Company Ranger area of your web site. There's an L Company team picture there of me on my last Ranger mission, and a photo I forwarded to your web site of a bunch...

Welcome and best of luck with your ambitions at becoming a Ranger. Just remember that in preparing for this challenging endeavor, the muscle group you need to exercise most is the one between your ears.

Thanks Slowpoke, BadMuther, Dud, and Ripcord. Re: Six Silent Men. This was an attempt at writing a three-volume history of 101st Airborne Division LRRP/Ranger operations in Vietnam. My closest e-mail buddy, Ken Miller, wrote volume 2. So yes, 1st Brigade LRRP, F/58, and L Company Ranger operations a...

Nope. No major changes. We've spent 5 years now trying to get the guys to part with their photos for a week or two so we can scan them and add them to the corpus of Ranger history. We've accumulated a pretty good collection on the site. The only significant change is that the guy in these photos jus...
