Re: Introduction--Braxton
SITREP- Getting stronger Rangers, future soldier training this morning was great. We did what SGT called PT muscle failure test. Basically a pt test but once you fail to do more you keep that score but keep going. My scores were before failure, 2minutes Push-up 64 Sit-up 66 2mile 14:51 3mile 22:20 ...

Re: Somebody help me DQ'd??
Braxton, I was just informed by HQ USAREC that we can no longer request medical exceptions for Airborne. Either you are qualified or not. It sucks because allergies shouldn't stop someone from going to airborne school. You'll have to earn your slot. Good Luck and never ever quit. Perryb Rodger Perr...

Re: Somebody help me DQ'd??
Braxton, did you get an airborne stamp at meps? If you did you still need your recruiter to send an exception for you to get an option 40 due having a medical waiver. The meps counselor is either uninformed or lazy because you have have your reservation updated at anytime before you leave. You need...

Re: Somebody help me DQ'd??
SITREP Rangers. Went up to MEPS this morning, got my contract and swore in. I did not get option 40 with my 11x contract, but I am determined to become a Ranger in the 75th Ranger Regiment. I still have a few months before I ship to Fort Benning so I have plenty of time to get in the best shape poss...

Re: Somebody help me DQ'd??
SITREP Rangers, my shellfish allergy waiver came back today and I reserved my mos. I told my recruiter I wanted 11x option 40 and that's all I wanted. He kept telling me stuff like "oh they recruit people out of ait" and "what's more important ? 11x-ray or option 40, because I can get...

Re: Somebody help me DQ'd??
You were correct Ranger Silverback. After 13 is a no-go. They told us that at MEPS. Luckily I had it when I was 4 and never needed medicine, and the doctor today didn't see any sign of it !Silverback wrote:I knew it was the asthma....yet they doubt me

Re: Somebody help me DQ'd??
SITREP. Got my physical today at MEPS. I'm good to go except my recruiter misplaced my hernia documents so I did not have them at the station, and I am also going to need a waiver for my allergy to shellfish. But at least I'm not disqualified completely ! Just delayed anther week. Whatever. Good thi...

Thank you for the update PerryB. I've been waiting for a recent update. I go get my physical at MEPS Monday. I hope there's still an 11x by then.

Re: Introduction--Braxton
Roger Ranger Jim. Palm out, wide grip pull-ups are already a part of my everyday workout. Been doing them without any movement from my lower body and full extension of arms. Would rather do a few correct pull-ups than a lot of wrong ones. I will do a weekly PT test and post it here if that's alrigh...

Re: Introduction--Braxton
Now, what I want you to do is self-conduct a PT test within the next 72 hours. BTW, I was in C/1-26. PT test July 18th 2 mile: 13:53= 88pts Sit-ups: 67= 82pts Push-ups: 57= 81pts Score 251. Not bad for my first 2 mile run in about a month. I have been working out Monday-Friday for years now. I've b...
