Re: New recruiting video
This was a great video. Hopefully they will run the whole thing on TV and not shorten it and kill the message.

Re: AFPT: Rest during PU?
My JROTC instructor taught us to do as many as we could until we couldnt do any more, then to stick your butt in the air for 3 seconds and then drop down and do 3 more until the end of the test. Worked pretty well for our PT teams If your JROTC Instructor taught you this he hasn't been up on his PT...

Re: DEP Status (search for opt40)
First if your ship date is 14 AUG 11, then the correct way to annotate it numerically is 20110814. I know that is exactly what your current contract says. Secondly, yes the recruiter is correct in stating that if you go to reno, you could wind up with nothing. What is basically happening is that you...

Re: My recruitment process thus far...
A quick SITREP: I've been sitting at MEPS since about 0600 this morning next to xraybp awaiting our ride to Fort Benning. We are both shipping under 18X contracts. Is there a waiting room for adults at MEPS? Edit: kidding about the adult waiting room/area. Good choice, though either would have been...

Re: DEP Status (search for opt40)
A couple of things stick out to me, but none really have to do with getting an option 40 so I will let them go. Or not adress them....... first. You need to stay on your recruiter about the RENO. If you want the option 40 contract, you will have to step on some toes and it's easier to do when you ha...

Re: Wikileaks = faggotry
I met a guy recently who was outprocessing Bragg to head to DC to work on the prosecution on this case. He's basically been snatched by Mt. Olympus to be on this team. It seems the Big Dawgs have been called in. Lucky for Manning that he's a fag because he's about to get fucked.

CONGRATS! I think I would be inclined to agree with you. I mean, it is a FULL FUCKING RIDE. Stay motivated throughout your ROTC years, continue to check in and update us, and whatever they fucking try to teach you about NCO's do NOT believe. It will be an NCO that saves your fucking ass from the CO ...

There are plenty of things that could be said here, but I think "tell the truth about what you see and do" should cover it. Report back with what happens as well as where my phrase came from as soon as you finish MEPS.

Re: Excused felony
Moral waivers are being granted (although they are being alot more strict about it), but in 601-210 4-4 it states If the local law considers the offense a felony, then treat as a major misconduct. So, even though the actual charge itself is a non-traffic offense or misconduct (depending on how big ...

Re: Excused felony
They are considering any felony a major misconduct, and last e-mail I got regardin major misconducts was that no waivers will be granted at this time. So they have moved ASSAULT from the MIS side over to the FEL side in AR 601-210? Or are you sayign that any conduct requiring a moral waiver will no...

Re: Excused felony
2nd degree assault? That's just assault by Army standards (misdemeanor last I checked), and yes when combined with the tickets you will need a waiver. Not a FELONY WAIVER (Which goes to the CG and would be impossible given today's market) but a waiver nonetheless. I would take Ranger Goon175's advic...

Re: What will we do at reception battalion?
Haha I'm sorry Rangers! I dont know what goes on as far as all that reception crap. I know what to expect at Osut, airborne school, RASP, etc. but as far as the paper work BS and Reception, all I know is i fill out some stuff, get my shots, get assigned the basic equipement needed at basics and rol...
