Re: New Toy
I just finished building an M-4 with a Bushmaster 7.62 x 39 upper and a Rock River lower. Ive put about 600 rounds through it from zero to 200 yards. Shooting Soviet era crap and not a hickup. Very accurate, like the punch of the 7.62 x 39 round. A lot less expensive than 5.56. It was a good build. ...

I think, Sir Hobbitt, the gent was referring to an age old Issue where troops will bitch no matter what they are required to carry and how much. Its never enough and its always too much..

Re: Magpul Masada Rifle
Has anyone gotten their hands on one of these, Remington ACR/Bushmaster ACR, I have seen it in a few shops, but have not been able to shoot one. They had the ACR as one of the stage guns at the Fort Benning 3 Gun this past December. Each of us shot 10 rounds out of it at the start of the stage, and...

Re: Magpul Masada Rifle
Magpul designed it but didnt have the means to produce in in any quantity. They sold the rights to it and it is now produced by Bushmaster and Remington under the Freedom Group tag. FYI. Suggested price runs about $2,600-$2,800. For a 5.56 and 6.8 conversion, it had better gives blow jobs for that f...

Good to have you, Sir. Generally, a PL who picks up the Scout Platoon is well thought of and head and shoulders above the pack. Different world the Scouts are. As a Bn CSM I had to chuckle at my misfit scouts. Competent, arrogant, but professional on sporadic events. Good on you, Sir. Drive on.

First, Jasper...ballsy comments. Good ones too. Hope I never look at a young Ranger with anything but admiration, respect, and awe. Havent yet, doubt I will. Thems that do...well bud, each of us is issued a lifelong supply of "fuck you's, play hide and go fuck yourself, and my favorite..."...

Not sure about this stuff, but check out the liquid body armor concept involving colloidal suspensions. Basically it would mean completely flexible body armor that would stop bullets on impact. You can start to get an idea of how it works if you have ever done the kid's science experiment with corn...
