"Legacy of Ashes" is excellent. Story of the CIA from its founding; hard to believe what they have declassified and suprising there is even a CIA after all their screw ups. Sorry but can't remember the author. Martin Gilbert wrote one of the best histories of WW! I have ever read. I really...

A guy is panhandling the exit drive from the local Walmart. Looked like most other panhandlers I've seen except for the Blue Tooth (hands-free wireless) cell phone he was wearing on his ear. Hell, I don't even have one of them.

Last year two “homelessâ€

LRS guy you were right; before the 1930s, 45th Division's patch was a red square set on an a corner with a yellow swastika. It really does look like something you would have found in Germany between 1930-1945. What a suprise! Picture of it at (scroll down when you get there) http://en.wikipedia.org/...

Ranger Chiron, I've found a Swastika in an odd place. The Montana club was a turn of the century exclusive mem's club (membership require you be a millionaire) in Helena MT. It has a couple swastikas set into the tile foyer of the building. I'll have to take a closer look to see if they are facing c...

A woman goes to her boyfriend's parents' house for dinner. It's her first time meeting the family and she is very nervous. They all sit down and begin eating a fine meal. The woman is beginning to feel a little discomfort, thanks to her nervousness and the broccoli casserole. The gas pains are almos...

That's some funny shit! Reminds me of a story from several years back. Friend of mine cautioned me that if the person sitting next to you on an airplane ever suggests you raise the arm rest so you both have extra room; just say no. Seems like he had just got home from a flight where he agreed to rai...

Steadfast wrote GM made several electric cars (a few years back) and let a few people around the country use these cars for everyday use for about a year. Then unexplicitedly they took back the cars and burned every single one of them in the desert. Why? I heard they got 110 miles to the gallon. Th...

gas prices in Iraq

US military units pay an average of $3.23 a gallon for gasoline, diesel and jet fuel while subsidies let Iraqis pay only about $1.36 a gallon. The U.S. is getting suckered as the cost of the war exceeds half a trillion dollars — $10.3 billion a month, according to the Congressional Research Servic...
