Camelbaks are easy and convenient to drink from. If you've already got good bags to walk with, yeah, just buy a bladder and tube. I ran a mule as my flying go bag because it was just small enough. I don't have any good answers for you other than you'll have to hook and jab to get there.
I left a guard LRS unit and had to take an unassigned enlistment, then work it at the 30th AG. I got what I wanted, but that was in '92.
