Re: Badass of the Week

Here is some more bad-assity. The very first medic to be awarded the MOH. Until him medics were only given DSC. His game was so epic they had no choice but to give it to him. Oh yeah.... Bad ass motherfucker was conscientious objector too. Only thing he carried with him into combat was his aidbag, w...

And a 100% urine test. Count on it.

Re: Financial Aspects

And further more.... It sounds like your PT is for shit. THAT is what you need to be focusing on right now. Opt. 40 contract or not, You have to pass the PT test, and other stuff before you get the "golden ticket" and then you have to prove every day that you are worthy of it. I'm not exag...

Re: Financial Aspects

I don't feel this is the wrong light at all. If anything, I wish more people your age (including myself, way back when...) took their finances seriously. Here is something that you may not have considered. No one, and I mean NO ONE has ever enlisted in the armed services for the paycheck. In fact, I...

Re: New hopeful Ranger

Indeed, that 14:20 run time ain't gonna get better by doing two minute floor drills. You might be able to bring that down in basic, then again, you might not. Far better to work on it now and walk in the door with mid 13's, or better. The only thing that will do that is road time done smartly. When ...

Re: New hopeful Ranger

Howdy, Nate! Based on your postings you need some churchin' up, and think of me as Reverend Cleophus James here down at the Triple Rock. First, as you address vetted members of this board, make sure you use their title. Exhibit A: PabloJeezy wrote: If it's regarding the PT test, RANGER JIM , I have ...

Re: Preferred age group

Gotta go with prevailing theme here. I was in similar straits; got to Ranger Batt. as a 25 year old Spec-4. To make things worse, I had left the National Guard as an NCO and had 5 years under my belt. I knew nothing about Rangers when I got there, but knew well enough to keep my head down and try an...

Would have been better if you got the Ranger Medic handbook from North American Rescue. 100% of the profits go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. No Matter.. Cams is right. Your EMT background will give you a leg up on the 68W. Take it from me; you will get to do everything the infantry g...
