Re: Promotion Orders

I have to admit I have no idea what you need to do. If your graduated college then you should be at a minimum a E4. Did you resign your comission? I am really out of my league on this one.

Re: Promotion Orders

The station will have to run a grade waiver through DA HRC. They will determine your rank. It cannot be determined at a recruiting station.

Re: Eligibility Question

Look you will not know if you passed the clearnace until you're in the Army. We are not going to spend $$$ on someone that hasn't stepped foot on an Army base. I have said it more than once and this is the last time ONE THEFT AND ONE SPEEDING TICKET WILL NOT STOP YOU FROM GETTING A CLEARANCE. Don't ...

Option 40 Update as of 20140204

Just checked the system for Option 40. If you are a high school senior that graduates in 2014, Option 40 with 11X is showing for RECSTA 20140922. If you're a high school grad I am only seeing Option 40 with MOSs 92G and 25C. We have been calling the ROC and getting high school grads 11X option 40 sh...

Re: Eligibility Question

After you secure yourreservation for Option 40 and before you swear in you'll be interviewed by the MEPS security interviewer, they will make the determenation if you're qualified for a clearance or not. The actual investigation takes places before you ship and possibly while you're in training. If ...

Re: Eligibility Question

One theft charge will not disqualify you for a clearance. If you pass the ASVAB, Physical, and get Airborne qualified you should be good to go. As of the past couple of weeks I haven't seen many option 40 with 11X. I'd find a different recruiting station because the one you're dealing with is cluele...

11X with Airborne Training

We have we directed by HQ USAREC that any 11X soldiers that are shiping within the next 4-6 weeks that would like to go to Airborne School we can update their reservations and change their option to 11X with Airborne Training. You must be qualified for Airborne Training and the Counselors at your me...

Re: Waiver of antidepressants without depression?

IvoryCharlie, if you require a medical waiver it is doubtful you'll qualify for an Airborne contract. If you do require a waiver, once it is approved you can ask the Meps CMO (the Doctor) to qualify you for Airborne training. If he does does qualify you the counselors at the meps can submit an excep...

Re: Waiver of antidepressants without depression?

The guidance that we have been getting from USAREC and the Infantry branch for the past couple of weeks is if you need a medical waiver you will not be able to get an Option 40. The Army is down sizing and they will only take the best qualified applicants. This doesn't mean you cannot try once you'r...

Re: HELP APPRECIATED!

The ROC is willing to help out high school graduates. If you qualify at the meps ask your counselor to call the ROC for 11X Option 40. Infantry may not be open but other MOSs maybe open with option 40.

Re: Penicillin

No idea who Curry is but trust me they are no longer granting exceptions for med waivers to go to Airborne or Option 40. The message I got from the Infantry branch last week was short and to the point. "Soldier does not meet the requirements stated in DA PAM 611-21, with the Army downsizing we ...

Re: Penicillin

If you don't know you're allergic then don't claim that you are allergic. You can still join the Army with an allergy to PCN but you will require a medical waiver. Since PCN is an avoidable drug you'll get a medical waiver approved but you cannot enlist with option 4 or 40 with a medical, waiver. In...

Re: Introduction AG0715

Happy to report that AGO715 shipped today and he did infact have the Ranger Creed memorized. I have shipped dozens of young men with 11X option 40 and this young man is probably one of the most squared indviduals I have worked with. I look forward to following him as he starts his career.

Re: Inquiry about recruiting process

I see a few Option 40 11X on the system for the recsta of 20140113. We also enlisted one today with a recsta of 20140328. The recuiter actually pulled that one. So your recruiter needs to get busy.
Good Luck,

Re: Inquiry about recruiting process

Calvin, damn I have no idea how you can get your lazy ass recruiter to do his job. I am at a loss for words because that just wouldn't happen here. I hope they at least call the ROC and try to get you an Option 40. Try to contact goon175 he is a former recruiter and may have a better idea on how to ...
