Re: Reintroduction/ Sitrep

Hello. Well I did not sign during that initial trip to MEPS. They wanted to ship me out next month and I can't leave that soon. My recruiters told me to drop my summer classes. They were very upset and said that I "should be ****ing grateful because I am waivered out". If I take these cla...

Re: Introduction-Constantine

Roger that, Ranger Jim

I ship out 20130827 to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. I figure that's about 80+ days or so between then and now, and I am taking advantage of everyday in between. Every morning at 0630 to 0730 this past week has been for PT, and this trend is going to continue up until I ship out.

Re: Introduction-Constantine

PT SITREP:

2-mile run: 16:50
1st mile: 7:25
Push-Ups: 55
Sit-ups: 42
Pull ups: 6

The results took a little while longer than I expected because of family coming over for my graduation. I will continue to work towards my PT goal, over the next few months. I will update again in 30 days.

Re: Introduction-Constantine

Hello Rangers, I have completed my processing at MEPS, I sworn in and signed my contract. As a brief overview, this was my first time to MEPS, they found nothing wrong, so I require no waivers, and have a PULHES "score" of 111111. I did not however, receive an Opt. 40 contract, partly beca...

Re: RASP selection at OSUT?

Understood PerryB, thank you, and wazzle for the info. I do plan to work hard in BCT and hopefully at 68W AIT someone takes notice if MEPS can't get me Airborne/RASP. For now, I'll focus on actually getting to MEPS, I'll stop hijacking this man's thread now. :)

Re: RASP selection at OSUT?

Thank you PerryB. That was very informative and helps me out a bit. On the subject, are the things like my ship date, and my BCT location negotiable so that one can base them around something like an Opt.40? I searched around the forums, but I could not really find a definitive answer. Thank you aga...

Re: RASP selection at OSUT?

If you don't ship until August you can ask your recruiter to have the Meps Counselor try and update your reservation with an option 40. I do it at the meps I work at. I have a list of deps I check every week. I even update reservations on ship date if the dep is qualified for airborne and RASP. You...

Update

Its been roughly 2 years since I last posted and I think that it is necessary to update my status with the recent progress that I have made. I won't bore anyone with the details of my last two years of high school, but here is what I am looking at, at the moment: MEPS this Sunday-Monday (Physical On...

General Update

Rangers, I did not want to start a new thread, so I thought I might repurpose my intro to update my progress. On that thought... It has been a while since I was able to effectively progress in my enlistment progress. However, being a high school junior now, I can finally speak to a recruiter without...

Re: Mentor Program?

Thank you Edgerusher, specifically for your answer on going about getting a mentor. But, the only reason I brought up "rank" as far as what we are seen as on this forum, was because of this post: Recently, a program was started by the BTDTs on this board to provide our services as a mentor...

Mentor Program?

Rangers, After several searches throughout the forum posts, I cannot piece together a clear cut answer on how to be a part of your mentorship program, or even much information regarding it. I have read posts from DEP's and Rangers alike and have searched even the home page of the site abd can still ...

Re: Introduction-Constantine

Thank you for your reply Ranger Steadfast, I will continue working on my PT scores and do not plan on quiting, so I will stay as long as it takes for me to be a Ranger.
