If I remember this right. I believe my son signed for 3 years before knowing he was going Airborne, then Ranger. In order to proceed on that path, he had to add 1 more year to his contract. We have used the LaQuinta on Macon a couple of times. Not bad and right in the middle of all kinds of places. Steakhouse right next door.

Also, try the hotel on base. It is usually full but I got lucky once and a very nice fully remodeled room for $39.
