Re: Nidal Hasan sentenced to death.
The UCMJ still allows for death by hanging. If I recall correctedly, the Koran has a variant of the Old Testament law: "Cursed is he who hangs from a tree."

Re: Movie Reviews
Two reviews for you all: 1. The Wolverine : Good movie, with the exception of the final fight scene, which was cheesy. It had a completely different vibe than the previous X-Men movies, but in a good way. 2. Kick-Ass 2 : Mother fuckin' hilarious! (profanity, and a pun, intended) See this one with yo...

Re: Introduction - Boziman
Welcome to the site, Boziman! I tend to be a bit of a "sinker" myself; I've always have enjoyed submerged swimming / surface diving more, too bad we don't have gills! When it comes to treading water, make sure you time your exhales to when both hands are stroking downwards. Other than that...

Re: Morally Straight
The Navy just announced the same, to include the civilian workforce. The official memo states that inspections are to be complete by June 28th, and that it won't include inspecting personal quarters, lockers, POVs, etc. Also, the inspections are to be carried out by E-7's and civilian supervisors, r...

Re: After 100 Years, Are The Boy Scouts Still Relevant?
When I was a Boy Scout, I would have been apprehensive (to put it mildly) about being around a "gay" troop member, but I think that had more to do with my age than it did with being a Boy Scout. That being said, I do not have a problem with BSA's decision to allow gay scouts. Why? In core ...

Re: NSA Data Center Causes Controversy
The NSA says the Utah Data Center is a facility for the intelligence community that will have a major focus on cyber security. The agency will neither confirm nor deny specifics. Some published reports suggest it could hold 5 zettabytes of data.
Wait... 5 ZB!?!...

Re: Errant Disclosure: North Korea Nuke Launch Capable
I'm still more concerned about the possibility of nK arming their missiles with chemical munitions, which they have more than plenty of. Even if they can make downsized nukes, getting enough material to arm more than a couple is still difficult.

Re: US B-2 stealth bombers in South Korea drill
Without violating OPSEC, do we know of any real NK countermeasures to the B2? Despite some people's best efforts, fortunately the US still has some formidable platforms in the event the only fat person in NK tries to throw a punch. The NK military may be motivated, callous, and indifferent to hards...

Re: Is it my eyes or my TV
I can't say I watch The Weather Channel much, but with respect to possible technical issues: Is your cable/satellite package an HD package? (Note: "digital" doesn't necessarily mean "HD".) If so, are you tuning in the the High Def version of the Weather Channel? Does your cable/s...

Given that there is only one slide for both chambers, the only advantage I can conceive of is that you don't have 6 inches of a high capacity magazine sticking out of the bottom of the grip.

Re: UK-Starving North Koreans 'are forced to eat their child
The Sun is indeed a British tabloid. However, unlike their U.S. counterparts, they mix in real news (frequently exagerated) along with the celebrity stories and completely made-up crap. All that being said, north Korea has been known to isolate certain villages, forcing starvation, then using those ...

Re: Oh no! The media are trying to understand firearms again
Anyone try buying a magazine lately? If anyone has a line on 10rnd AR mags let me know! The planet is depleted. 10 round AR mag?? I take it Massachusetts bans anything larger? Military surplus stores (at least in my state) frequently have the "standard" size mags, but it's usually a good ...
