Re: My misery
If I'm not mistaken, your CSM was my old 1sg back when I was in Vicenza in 99-00 time frame. He was a real trip back then and I'm guessing he hasn't changed any.

Re: Veterans Day 2009
To those that went before, those going now, and those who will go in the future- thanks for keeping the wolves at bay while the rest of the herd relaxes.

Re: Footcare
It's nice to know my feet weren't the only ones to "molt" after the Hooah school. My suggestion for toughening feet is put some anti-perspirant on them before starting to walk so they don't sweat, then about halfway through the journey, stop and tighten the holy hell out of your bootlaces....

Re: NCO Tutor?
That is a generally true statement about the seasoning of the senior leadership Cardiac, however back in the "old" days, how many of those seasoned Psg's and 1sg's had mulitiple yearlong combat deployments like the majority do now? I don't care who you are, serving anywhere from 2-5 years ...

The best relationship to have with your Plt Daddy is one like this: You're in command, he is in charge.

Re: AP NewsBreak: Contractor electrocuted in shower
I chatted with an electrical contractor on my last trip over, and he was saying something about how the generators were wired, basically the electrical systems were set up by the 3rd world TCN's and then "inspected" by U.S. contractors. Which was pretty much 2 different ways of wiring thin...

Re: Reflexive sights
No real experience with the ATN sight, but some things to consider- from the looks of it, the aiming point on the ATN is going to be visible from the sides in low light conditions since it appears to be projected onto the glass vs. appearing inside the glass, so "they" can possibly pick yo...

Re: I'm in the money!!!
"Retained for the good of the service" for 400 and some odd days means after I subtract the 4 months from October 08 until I ETS'd, I'm getting a chunk of change too! That is unless my DD214 lied to me about the length I was stopped for.

Re: What's your take on North Korea?
Liberace's love child has some issues with thinking his people are more advanced and better funded than anyone else in the area. The problem with that is he's started to believe his own propaganda. He might or might not have nukes, and he might or might not want to "sell" the tech to other...

Apparently that Asgaard guy is their communications guy, which from what I can find out is kind of like their version of public affairs.

Time to call a spade a spade...
Here's a brief rundown- a buddy's wife sent me this link about a school in Washington that refused to let a child use a picture of his father, a CPL in the Reserves holding a gun for a school project. When I get the head ass clown's email I'll post it for others to send to express themselves about t...
