I paid $100 for the rifle, Savage 340 in .222 Remington. I guess I'll have to pay a gunsmith the same amount if not more to take care of it. Or study up on gunsmithing and get a reamer.

This is probably a gunsmith question but to anyone's knowledge, since I handload would trimming the neck of the casing a few thousandths or hundredths be a sufficient and safe cure for insufficient headspace in a bolt action rifle? It seems to me it would be the equivalent of a wildcat cartridge.

I've been reloading a lot too, latest project is tumbling a few thousand once fired military 7.62x51 brass. I started doing 45acp and 9mm as well, and normally I don't reload for handguns except for 44 mag.

After the last buying onslaught most companies started setting limits, the local Walmart just made a three box limit for their ammo, because certain individuals do in fact show up when the store opens to clean out the ammo.
