Re: Reptile
What do either of your posts' above mean JoBa, low on meds maybe, or you screwed the pooch on another Vet's forum and came here to vent about it? What gives? Are you a crazy man?  :?: OK, perhaps it was the meds. There was a lizard crawling all over the place where my avatar is suppos...

Re: Reptile
In my seventy year old effort to figure out where I fit in, I have without a doubt blown it completely on this site. I never envisioned myself in the above descriptive, but apparently I seem to have succeeded in doing just that. I sincerely apologize to every member of this board, Ranger or not. -JoBa

THE FINAL INSPECTION
The soldier stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass. 'Step forward now, you soldier, How shall I deal with you ? Have you always turned the other cheek ? To My Church have you been true?' The soldier squared his shoulders an...

Re: The Fiscal Cliff.
Is anyone actually buying into this hyped up nonsense? There is no "cliff" at all. If they can not reach a compromising agreement, which they probably wont, they will just extend the so called "deadline" for another year. It is all plain old smoke and mirrors, it's all bullshit....

Much the same as you guys. I've admitted I was out of line.

Re: Donate some money..help out this site.
You should also be aware that the donate bar was recently reset. It was ~much~ higher a couple weeks back. There is nothing I hate more than having to apologize, but I do what I gotta do. I have apparently jumped to the conclusion that you guys are a bunch of very frugal Rangers who were in serious...

Re: The knife thrower?
You never throw your weapon away. Anything that could possibly come of it would be pure luck, nothing more. In all probability, your adversary would pick your weapon up and come back and give you a quick class in knife fighting. I've only been stabbed once, in the leg. It didn't have bleeders, the h...

Re: Donate some money..help out this site.
I just sold some crap from my garage, so I sent $50.00 via pay pal to help support this site. It is really pathetic that only $150.00 has been sent in so far. I'm a newbie, I live on Social Security, it is a hardship giving up what little money I have, but this is a site that is worth supporting. T...

Re: The Fiscal Cliff.
Genghis Khan was a leader. Mother Teresa was a leader.
A leader has the unique ability to take a large group of people, many with opposing views, and convince them through whatever means, to work in unison toward one common goal.
No such person exists in Washington.

The knife thrower?
A highly trained special operations soldier is also an expert knife thrower, he can bring down any opponent from ten to twenty yards away with ease. Is that a true statement, or is it pure bullshit? I'm going with the second response, but I'd like to hear your views on such a Hollywood favorite. I'l...

Re: Recondo.
Thanks for the welcome, I appreciate that. I am an active member of a paratrooper forum that went overboard on the vetting process. I'll give you the link if you want to see what a whack job you are welcoming here. I'm also on a pilots forum as well, but under a different handle. I'm way too old to ...

Re: Recondo.
During that era, we had a number of schools that prepared soldiers to be leaders. Then, Major Lew Millett, organized the RECONDO course at Fort Campbell. The 101st Airborne Division led the way, the 82d had the Raider Course (two wees for SP4s). 5th Mech at Fort Carson had MECHONDO (OK, they were a...
