Re: New cadet introduction

To the Rangers who expressed concerns over PT:

I joined as an MS-III (last few weeks of MS-II, technically).

I'm in the 280's now. Next PT test should be a 300.

Re: Introduction (Update)

Thank you Ranger42L5V. Your mention of OCS Officers here as well reminded of something I didn't post earlier: If I choose to go enlisted, and then decide that the Officer route would've been better, I can go through OCS because I have my degree. That's what I have been telling my parents, it's not a...

Introduction (Update)

Rangers and others, I joined this forum about six months ago, after I became an ROTC cadet. I am now an MS-III and the more I learn about the Army, specifically being a Commissioned Officer, the more I am considering enlisting. This is due in part to my current circumstances, but the majority of thi...

Another idea would be to see if there is an NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) club in your area. Every once in a while they hold events where new shooters can come and shoot (for free, ammo provided) with professional instruction (also free). If you're not comfortable teaching the child you...

I believe that a man's actions in a life or death situation will show you what he is truly made of.

Based off of this Marine's actions, I would say he's one hell of a man, and one hell of a warrior, who deserves the MoH because of his actions.

RIP, Marine.

Cure for a coma

A woman was in a coma for months. Nurses were in her room giving her a blanket bath. One of them was washing her private area and noticed that there was a slight response on the monitor when she touched her. They tried it again and sure enough there was a small, recognizable movement. They went to h...

Get the masters. Once you break your academic stride, you don't go back. The Army & the wars aren't going away. If you're in a hurry forgo the seasonal breaks. Besides, the extra time'll allow you to get in better shape. Sounds like the right way to look at it, Ranger K.Ingraham. Thank you. I'v...

Re: New cadet introduction

I'm hoping to be able to find an Officer on this forum who has commissioned under similar circumstances and can advise me on this decision. The O you need to speak to & will help you has gone on a brief vacation. His name is (Ranger) KW Driver. Read this for further info in his absence: Cadets ...

Greetings Rangers, A quick question: What gives that court the right to even bring charges up against that Marine? The supposed "crime" was not even committed in their jurisdiction. Is there something in the UCMJ that allows him to be charged in both civilian and military court? Thank God ...

Welcome. Im only a lowly NCO, but I would suggest you finish your masters degree. You can thank me later. That being said, stick with your goals and never give up. You are young and have that in your favor. Thank you Ranger Abn-Rgr, I am also leaning towards finishing the masters simply because I k...

New cadet introduction

Greetings Rangers, My name is Chase, I'm a twenty year old contracted/scholarship ROTC MS-III cadet. I am finishing my Bachelor's in Sociology (Criminal Justice option) this semester. I'm ahead academically and thus have the option of either commissioning at the end of LDAC this summer or pursuing a...
