Re: The Manitou Incline

Congrats to you and HH6. Looking at the background, I can see that was not an easy hump.

Re: Jade Helm 15

I'm checking this out too. There was a news report here in San Antonio that there will be a lot of personal coming to Camp Bullis.

Re: Optics

I just came back from the range; I am zeroed. It was easier today. The ground was drier. I aimed lower hitting dirt, but this time I was able to see puff. I've been hitting high off the paper all this time. Once I saw where I was hitting, it was easy after that. I am going to play more with this sig...

For optics, I do POA/POI at 100.
What was said in the read was correct. Murphy can happen anytime, and then it's back to basics. [emoji3]

Re: Optics

I did some of this before, but little when I was Infantry. I just looked at a video that explained MOA. Never messed that before, but I learn quick. In fact, it was a video of a Ranger who said he was a sniper in 1st Bat. Great video. He explained it well.

Re: Optics

Today I got a Vortex SpitFire 3x. Nice ACOG. I like how I can use it with out batteries, and the choice between green and red on the reticle. The price was nice ($430). I expected it to cost more. I wasn't looking to spend a lot, so this was good. I have not fired one of these in a long time. The la...

Re: VFW

In hind sight I should have taken that route, but at the time I was about 2 weeks home after a 12 month stint dodging IED's in north central Iraq. Analytical thinking was not a strong suit that night. Especially coupled with an incident earlier in the day where a shithead brother in law showed up a...

Re: VFW

Only place I got a shitty reception was at a joint in a Solon, Ohio where my father in law lived and died. I went to them to see if they could help with the freedom of information act for his military service, and the guy in charge bought me a drink and basically told me he wasn't interested in hel...

Re: VFW

That's great. It's good to see a positive report on the VFW. I wish I can go there, but I'm here in San Antonio. Your SITREP got me thinking to go and check mine out. I don't drink or do tobacco. So I don't know what I would do there, but I'll check it out nevertheless. Sent from my iPhone using Tap...
