Boot Selection For RASP (flat feet)

What you're issued these days are pretty good, especially compared to what I started with. You won't get a chance to choose what to wear through OSUT, and you don't want to start any hard course that involves long walks/runs while trying to break in new boots. I had/have flattish feet and just learn...

Re: froglube

Couldn't really say. It definitely happened that the spray can was worse before a weapon was. I guess I first noticed it when I came home after 15 months deployed. That can was done, and I didn't want to use it on a weapon. Another can showed signs of spraying tacky after a year I'd guess. Those wea...

RASP Graduation

It is a graduation ceremony and first donning of the beret, wearing the scroll of his appropriate Battalion. Families are absolutely encouraged to attend, and I'm sure he'd be appreciatively surprised if you showed up. Depending on where he's going next (which Battalion/follow on schooling) will dic...

Re: 25c MOS

If you want to stay here, and possibly learn something, you'd be best served to reread the rules and behaviors we expect from those wishing to become Rangers.

Somehow though..... I don't think you will adapt to our standards.

Re: Best Camelbak option

Camelbaks are easy and convenient to drink from. If you've already got good bags to walk with, yeah, just buy a bladder and tube. I ran a mule as my flying go bag because it was just small enough. I use it cycling now. I actually have two. One for each activity. Buying a bag and bladder system is pr...

Re: Guard to Opt 40

I don't have any good answers for you other than you'll have to hook and jab to get there.

I left a guard LRS unit and had to take an unassigned enlistment, then work it at the 30th AG. I got what I wanted, but that was in '92.
