Re: Introduction
SITREP It's been a while since I've posted on here and I figure I owe the board a post. I graduated Airborne in SEP08. Also in 08 I made contact with civilian law enforcement. Choices I made regarding the type of company I associate with caused me to be placed on suspension from ROTC and forfeit fou...

SITREP
Rangers,
Long time since my last post. I got to Airborne School on Wednesday, got assigned to A Co. PT test and the start of training is tomorrow, graduation is 5SEP. Going to miss the first week of college.
I'm feeling confident for the PT test and excited to start training.

Grab FM 21-20, the latest one has a pretty solid exercise plan in there. How is her weight? Personally I hit a brick wall on my run until I dropped some weight. She might be able to gain some serious time by just improving her form. 21-20 has good basic tips on form, an hour with your school's track...

Ranger Spartan, 1. I am a contracted CDT, I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure Ranger school is in my future. 2. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I do group PT with my ROTC unit: Pushups and Situps to failure, light running when the weather gets nicer. Overall the group PT is low intensi...

Negative Ranger Tater Nuts, The 19% figure I originally posted was valid in late September (intial APFT measured by Cadre) On 18 OCT I was probably around 18%. The 16% figure was from a midsemester APFT taken yesterday, measured by Cadre. My goal is to get off as much body fat as possible by Decembe...

Fat Burning and Carbs during workout
Rangers, For the fitness guys out there my question sums up to: If trying to maximize fat burn should you eat carbs for energy during workouts? The question tailored to my personal context goes as follows. I've finally gotten under 20% body fat. I contracted in JUN 07 at 25% and was given until JAN ...

Signing Contract Wednesday
For the past year I've been enrolled in ROTC in the "just trying it out category." I shaved a crap load of weight, got my APFT up and above standards, and got my grades somewhat in order. I'm going into my sophomore year and have been offered a 3 year full scholarship. I know the contract ...
