Beautiful series. When I was in Normandy, a museum had some letters of Maj. Dick Winters. Very impressive to read something personal like that, after reading the book and watching the series over and over again.

I've read Ghost Soldiers too, and I've read Special Forces - Shadow Warriors (I thought it was named that in the English version..)
And Black Hawk Down of course.

That just made my day

I don't know if it is what you're searching for, but at www.operationmilitarypride.org you can request an address of a deployed military (DM). They respond very soon.
I've got an address from there too (I'm just writing my second letter :) )
