Waiver Regulations

Rangers, Is there any AR or Army manual in general that deals with the regulations and procedures for a medical waiver? I'm trying to help a friend and would like to read through any regulations about the processes or guidlines for requesting or submitting a waiver. I've searched here and found indi...

Thank all of you Rangers. Ranger Pocketkings, you bring up a very good point that I've been discussing with my cadre as well. Especially with the new Commander in Chief, priorities may not be the same, and if something happens I'd rather miss out on Air Assault than Airborne. If everything goes the ...

Clearly, you should go to Air Assault (AA, from here out for all you drinkers and smartasses  ) since it is the hardest school in the Army! Just ask RRDTm3 about his experience  In all seriousness stud, take the Airborne slot. AA is basically a waste of time. Having said that, if ...

Question About Air Assault and Airborne

Rangers, To start off, since there isn't an Air Assault section I thought I'd post it here and let it get moved wherever it should go. Second, it's been close to a year since I last posted here. I have always been able to come to all of you Rangers and get very valuable advice, and that is what brin...

Ranger Bugsy, Thank you for your advice, I will make sure to follow. As of now I still plan to focus on running a lot with a routine I have going but I am not as worried about that anymore, I know with the hard work I'll put into it that I'll do just fine. The thing thats always tugged at the back o...

SFC hit_it, While there is no official word yet, everything is looking great. Out of the MS I's and II's that were either interested in going or allowed to go, I was ranked first on the OML. There is another girl that is prior service that was ranked first for females as well. I talked to our traini...

Rangers, Just as an update, I took the test this morning and did the run. We ended up not doing the hang, still not sure why it's all so weird, but we did pull ups instead. The run was about a quarter of a mile less than 5 miles but I completed it in 37:30, about a 2 minute improvement from my last ...

I think the pre-qualification you have is only for cadets looking to go the BAC. I think you should follow Ranger SupplyRanger's advice and you will be fine. I have heard the same thing from our Staff Sergeant that just came to be cadre after being in an infantry unit. He said it's only for cadets....

I did find a workout for the elliptical that I kind of made my own and then just ran for a half mile, I'm going to keep looking for something that will fit a little better. I also got a lifting plan from a buddy of mine in ROTC who also wrestles so I started that yesterday as well. As far as tomorro...

Ranger SupplyRanger, I did some work on the elliptical yesterday and ran a couple laps on the track here, and this morning during PT we ran stairs for about ten minutes. This afternoon I went for another long run, ended up running 6 miles in 50 min, 30 sec. I know it isn't the best, my legs aren't b...

Ranger JLTW!!!, I know it can't be much coming from someone such as myself and I don't even know if you believe in God, but I will keep you in my prayers. I had some family problems a couple months ago with my sister unexpectedly dying so while it's a different area of family it's still family and y...
