I was there from Sep 05-Oct 06. When we deployed it was OIF IV.

My BN S1 has mandated that when we write NCOERs it must be designated OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM 05-07.

As far as how the official designation is determined I have no f-----g clue.

Yeah, you're right about the platoon, it was 3rd not 2nd (details get fuzzy with time and MULTIPLE units). Terrible Tommy T was the PSG at the time. I had a PL (very briefly) in 2/C 1-325 around 2000 who broke his back and was sent to 101. Penn State guy.
