Re: Sapper School

Re: Idiot Parents

My Dad only got physical with me once. In fact, he kicked me. He kicked me right in the tailbone with a steel-toed work boot when I was about 4 or 5. That was all it took. After that, the glare and the words "Joseph William" was all it took. Mom, on the other hand, would switch me or hit m...

correction: He'll be going to Airborne before he goes to actual rigger AIT. It's a little different for riggers. Don't know about the Prereq at Jackson but the Benning part is Airborne. RASP is at Benning too, fyi... My advice for you and your man is to just stay put while he's in the pipeline. The...

Re: What was Ranger School like for you?

Nothing sucks worse than being squad leader on the last day in Florida, when you know you've already got your shit. Especially when some foreign officer is the PL and still trying to get his primary leadership go.

Re: What was Ranger School like for you?

I recycled in 9-92 from a squad of officers, into one of Bat Boys. Passed every patrol after that with a high peer rating. My Ranger Buddy was named Dyke from 2/75. He was one cocky, tough son-of-a-bitch. You do the math, kid. You might want to change your screen name. Read the stuff in red in your ...

Re: 1st of many humourous, odd. or strange things in my past.

Funny you mention the exploding shit story. We burned shit with diesel in DS/DS - although we weren't able to drink and smoke shit, while burining shit. One dude, the Chaplian's assistant, used gasoline instead of diesel. It would have been funny, except the fire quickly found it's way to the can, c...
