Sapper Mike requests permission to re-enter the net

Hello, Rangers! Request permission to re-enter the net. I have been undergoing an extended TI for Turn-In by (soon to be former) Domestic 6, and haven't had access for quite a while. I have begun returning to the world of my friends and brothers, and would like to again join your ranks as a guest. I...

I was at home getting ready for a job interview at Edison International. The TV flashed about a plane flying into the WTC. Saw everything that followed. My interviewer called, and said that they sent everyone home and rescheduled the appt for one week. Had one good friend in Building 1, and he got o...

They must have changed it then. When I was on mission (88-, they treated CHSPE as a non-grad, not even a GED. At the time, USAREC's position was that it was a test to allow student to proceed early to college, and nothing more.

We would climb on our bicycles at 8 a.m. and ride from our block all the way to Mt Baldy (16 miles away, and the last 5 all uphill on a 3-4 percent grade). We'd play in the creeks and ride our bikes on the ski slopes under the summer sun. Then, around 3 or so, we'd start back home, seeing who could ...

This is the first movie of an adult nature I've seen at a theater in 5 years (I end up seeing the Harry Potters with my kids, but other than that, I don't go much anymore). Of all the movies to choose to return to the big screen (IMAX), I can't think of a better choice. I really look forward to rubb...

Even better, they declare that the 2nd Amendment is an INDIVIDUAL right, like the others in the Bill of Rights, not some Collective right, as had been stated by the Supreme Court in the MILLER Decision. What this does is set three or four District Courts of Appeal against each other, most recently t...

I was in-processing at the 21st Replacement Detachment at Ft. Hood and watched it on the dayroom TV. One hell of a game. When we won, the whole fucking building simply exploded.

Welcome to the site.

When I was at Hood, our Dentac folks would do PT in the afternoons. One of those guys put Steve Martin's "You'll be a Dentist" song from the Little Shop of Horrors to cadence. Some funny shit.

LTC Leonard Scott wrote some fantastic Vietnam Military Fiction, of which my personal favorite is "The Last Run." Other titles include "Charlie Mike," "Forged in Honor," "The Hill," and "Duty Bound." His stories feature Rangers and Light Infantry primarily. Other authors would be "The Third World Wa...
