Re: Introduction

Hello All, I ran into a former 2/75 guy yesterday after a Memorial Day parade in MA. After the Sam Adams began flowing, he turned me on to this site. I graduated Ranger School class 1-96. A few years later, I convinced my wife to go to the Regiment. I went to ROP in 2001 and was assigned to 3/75 as...

I've spent quite a few years in the big Army and the Guard. The Guard is in its own way a different animal. Not bad just different. If you're going to go in as enlisted than look at the different units. Don't assume becuase they are high speed they are, sometimes these units do very well in trainin...

Been away from computer 2 days and liked the posts. I spoke to some CW5 head of the OCS program out here in Colorado and they are sending me a packet to get started. Guess I got till December to figure if its the route I'm going to take. The OCS stateside program starts in January and ends in 2008. ...

Realized this sounded kind of gay. Of course I worry about being deployed, didn't want to sound like some kind of hero on this topic.

Brother, 1.5 - 2 years is not as long as it sounds. There are more than enough deployment opportunities. Be careful whatyou wish for and I wish you well in whatever you choose. No I know and agree with you totally. Just don't want to be 20 years down the road thinking that I should have fully knowi...

Only regret was I waited so long to get back in. Your looking at going a good route, where you can make a difference. Lot of good folks, many who have no active time, now a days many who have real world experience. Also, count on being activated at some point after your commission, but you already ...

I liked being an NCO and I know there is a good bonus. Beating myself back and fourth on the decision. I know if I choose OCS, I won't be deployable until after commisioning. Which I was told takes approx 1 and 1/2 to 2 years stateside.
