Re: Introduction - Hayden
Hi, My name Is Hayden Hey Hayden, As Ranger Blueliner pointed out, you've started and will only improve from here. The key is to try and keep a routine. Start doing reading on exercise and find systems that work best for you. Everyone can give advice on working out but not all systems adapt best to...

Re: Introduction - Blake
Failure isn't allowed to happen. Hey Blake, I've been keeping up with your post but sometimes I don't have much to say. Don't like to type just to do it. I would say it is allowed to happen in many circumstances and does happen. In my own personal experience, having the mentality that failure canno...

Re: Introduction-Tu
Hi, my name is Tu. I’ve recently graduated OSUT and heading to Pre-rasp next week. I’m excited to join the group and learn more from people that went/and going through the same process to become rangers. Hey Tu, Welcome to ArmyRanger.com. You're going to be pretty busy the next few weeks but try to...

Re: Introduction
Sam, makes sense all around. Definitely need to establish a baseline. Gotta know where you are to know where you are going. Research the APFT to make sure you do it correctly. Check some of the events for the ACFT so you can check those as well. There are other fitness goals that were mentioned in t...

Re: Introduction
Hey Sam, Welcome to ArmyRanger.com. I took the liberty of cleaning up your post a bit since you posted once here and again in the other forum. Have you tested yourself with an APFT or similar fitness test? 5 mile run is another good indicator of your readiness levels. Have you looked into rucking at...

Re: Introduction: Gavin
I have memorized the Ranger Creed, but I cannot yet speak it aloud quickly and without faltering. I will continue to practice it and also try to find things I can do in my life to better follow the Creed. Well that means it isn't memorized yet. Keep working on it. Good posts overall from you. Enjoy...

Sometimes they will have alerts set by default when they get quoted. That's why I try to do at least 1 line of quote for folks... Maybe it doesn't work. I don't remember.

ArmyRanger.com has a Discord Server
Hello board members, This site has slowed down a lot over the years for a multitude of reasons. A few years ago a Discord server was started by Ranger Blueliner for a grouping of the OPT 40 candidates that were on the site - Many of which became Rangers. It soon evolved into a touch point for many R...

Re: Introduction - Blake
The reason why I was able to do that run time today was because I need to be an Army Ranger and I can not disapoint any Ranger on this site; motivation It wasn't discipline, if it was I would have been doing that time every single day Discipline, motivation, determination. The words aren't intercha...

Re: Introduction - Blake
I hate waiting and delaying my future so I'm going to try to get to Texas as soon as I can. I think you have a plan but I would try to not flat out lie about your intentions. It is your situation so obviously your call - you know your family better than anyone else. Part of being an adult is owning...

Try this direct link for the rules: https://armyranger.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=47264 There are a few odd things that happen when clicking through the site. Some of them can be alleviated by going to armyranger.com/bb instead of accessing the forums from the main site. Your run times are not far off f...

Re: Ranger Assessment and Selection Program
I am 19 and set on joining the Army and getting the Option 40 contract. I have bad vision and wear contacts. My question is how will this effect me. Will I have any problems joining or are contacts (eyesight is 20/20 with contacts) allowed and not an issue? This question is best for a recruiter. Pl...
