Re: Sitrep - Stephen

Rangers, I regret to inform you that I’ve been medically dropped from RASP. KesslerB is still going strong, and I have faith that he will make it. I cannot understate the appreciation I developed for the Regiment during my time here. Throughout my short time in the Army thus far, RASP is the first p...

Re: Sitrep - Stephen

Roger Ranger Carpenter. Pre RASP has been fun so far, in a way. It feels good to be here. Today we took a PT Test. Despite us just arriving here, the Cadre are already saying most of us should class up this Monday. I hit a PR for push-ups; my sit-ups and run were not my best today, but still met the...

Re: Sitrep - Stephen

Rangers, KesslerB and I are back at our OSUT company and we class up to pre RASP in a few days. BigBoss contacted us and we will try and stick together to push each other. My PT scores are as follows: Push-ups: 55 (78) Sit-ups: 74 (94) 2 mi: 12:50 (100) TOTAL: 272 Still not great but I feel a lot be...

Re: Sitrep - Stephen

Roger Ranger Carpenter; first and foremost I have pushed 50+1 for my mistakes. I’m putting my old habits back into practice that got me into good physical shape in the first place. These past few weeks, I’ve been doing PT in the field after everyone else beds down. Here are my PT Scores as of today:...

Sitrep - Stephen

Rangers, It’s been a while since I’ve come to the site. I’m roughly a month out from graduating OSUT and will be headed to pre-RASP after HBL. We’ve been told by our First Sergeant that this pre-RASP class will be very large due to it’s proximity to HBL, so if we want to class up to RASP we had bett...

Re: Introduction - Stephen

Rangers, I am shipping out very soon. As I said in my last post, I haven’t been doing PT as much as I should have these last few weeks. After school ends it’s easy to lose sight of things and make excuses to “relax.” A mistake on my part. I have made a lot of progress over the last year though. I wi...

Re: Introduction - Stephen

Hey Stephen , I would greatly appreciate it if you could tell me your workout routine that had made you increase your pt scores as I’m also interested in joining the 75th Ranger Regiment but my pt scores are pretty bad. Thansk I have to be honest, I haven’t been doing PT as much as I should but I’v...

Re: Introduction - Stephen

Rangers, Today I performed my first 5-mile run for time and finished in 37:21. Crazy to think that I can run 5 miles at a faster pace now than I could run 1 mile when I first made an account here. It's finally starting to set in that my ship date is so close. My time left as a civilian is limited. I...

Re: Introduction - Stephen

I also forgot to mention I have since finished my Eagle Scout project and was able to enlist as an E-3. I am now completing online Future Soldier assignments to learn the General Orders, land nav, first aid, etc. Pushing 25+1 for forgetting those details.

Re: Introduction - Stephen

Rangers, My recruiter and I have yet to do an OPAT, so I took a PFT test on my own today: PU: 49 (70%) SU: 72 (90%) 2-mi: 14:27 (79%) Total: 239 APFT Pull-ups: 9 (dead-hang) (I can perform roughly 15 pull-ups without stopping) I recognize that my calisthenics have stayed almost the same since I firs...

Re: Introduction - Stephen

Rangers! I can't believe I was focusing so much on volunteering from OSUT this whole time; it turns out there won't be a need for that. I passed physical qualifications with no issues last week. Immediately after leaving the MEPS, my recruiting station's commander called me to let me know an 11X Opt...

Re: Introduction - Stephen

Rangers, Since my last post, my parents have signed their consent for my enlistment. Due to two hospital visits as a young child, my recruiter had me obtain hospital records for the MEPS doctor, rather than forego the paperwork. The records have been approved by MEPS, so we don't anticipate any issu...

Re: Introduction - Stephen

Come to think of it, my recruiters even acted suspicious about Option 40s when I met them in August. I'll make sure to hold out for what I want. Also, I've seen my running improve immensely. I recently ran a 14:43 2 mile and also a 6:45 1 mile. I'm still far from where I want to be, but my times are...

Re: Introduction - Stephen

Thanks for the input Cap4040, good to know. Roger Ranger IntelToad, the last thing I want to do is volunteer from OSUT. It seemed to me that the Regiment is trying to discontinue 11X Option 40s for good. The Regiment Recruiters say I will be guaranteed a chance to volunteer at OSUT, but I'll take th...

Re: Introduction - Stephen

Hi all Rangers, I've seen some other members of the site are in the same boat as me, unable to find an 11X Option 40 contract. I have since found some information I should share here. I recently learned that r/75thRangerRecruiting on Reddit is a great place to get up-to-date info. The recruiter on t...
