Re: Would you use...?
In the jungle one would carry a drive on rag. This is a small light weight multi purpose green or cammie towel, worn around the neck. Also some wore a green bandanna around the head to help keep the sweat off the face. One would also wear a pair of black gloves with the fingers cut off to protect t...

Re: Introduction-Kenn
Ya, I can think of a lot of things I’d rather do than hang out with my old CO and a couple of SEAL’s. IE: get a bad haircut, brush my teeth with sand, throw rocks at seagulls, slap myself in the nuts with a brick, etc etc... LOL. I love it. :) I'm going to have to use that somewhere... Not hanging ...

Re: Introduction-Kenn
In a sense, that's what he has. He starts out by himself, but his old CO gets in the mix, several SEALs his old CO worked with, etc. Nobody is a one-man army, except maybe Rambo, and that's not what I'm going for. Rather, this is a thinking man, put in a bad spot, fighting his way out and doing what...

Re: Would you use...?
Awesome, thank you Ranger Charlie! Can't argue with the business end of a sawed-off 870. Like it.CharlieRanger1FFV wrote: ↑August 27th, 2018, 3:58 am Point to point contact in the jungle, we used a chopped down pump shotgun. But in an ambush situation, we used 16’s, 14’s, m60, & m79’s.

Re: Would you use...?
Whew. I went back to the chapter where I introduced the SCAR, and this is what I'd written. Glad I had it right then...easy to miss things when editing other passages in other parts: He decided to make his way to the site Stanton was so excited about. Whoever killed Stanton did so to hide what Stant...

Re: Would you use...?
Depending on configuration, you are correct. The M4 in general configuration comes in at 7.49 lbs with 30 rounds. The SCAR can come in anywhere from 6.7 lbs to 10.7 lbs, depending on options. The 10" barrel is the SCAR L CQC, which is the lightest. However, taking the caliber into account, the ...

Re: Introduction-Kenn
I've read all of Ranger Brad Taylor's books, but I hadn't heard of Ranger Leo. I'll look into that. "'A type' personality who is an arrogant prick." -- confident people can seem that way to less confident people. It can also be difficult to communicate with those not like you, especially t...

Re: Would you use...?
At the end of the story, that'll happen. :) But of course, some seeds gotta leak out. :) (I wouldn't return in a follow-on book to the same MO, but it sounds dramatic...in my intro to this forum, I describe the premise of the novel in response to your welcome--thank you for that, by the way--my comm...
