Re: SITREP - Veronica

Rangers, I just got back from Camp Bullis, passed first time go! Only 60 people in my company got first time goes, but we all ended up passing eventually. Ranger Disinfertention, Camp Bullis is a 12 day FTX which is basically a role play deployment. We practiced our skills as combat medics and did s...

Re: SITREP - Veronica

Rangers, I leave for Camp Bullis tomorrow, so this is the last day I’ll have with my phone. Doesn’t bother me too much since I bought a lot of books yesterday for the trip. One of them is American Sniper, which I’m excited to start. I looked for the Ranger Handbook but they didn’t have it. I’ve also...

Re: SITREP - Veronica

Oh, I forgot to mention my company commander was a Ranger. He has his tab and scroll. Had a conversation with him the other day because it turns out we’re both from Jersey. :P

Re: SITREP - Veronica

Thank you for all the replies Rangers! Well, I’ve only got one graduation requirement left: Camp Bullis. I’m not too nervous about it, it’s supposed to be pretty easy. For those who don’t know, it’s a 12 day long FTX, with a final hands on test at the end. The company that just got back from it had ...

SITREP - Veronica

Hello Rangers! Long time no see! It’s been five months since I last posted here, not sure if anyone remembers me but I figured I’d update everyone on my progress so far! I graduated basic training back in August and now am in the last five weeks of 68W AIT. It’s been a long road but I’m almost there...

Re: Introduction - Veronica

Roger Ranger Lunch. Ranger Cams, thank you so much for the kind words and the advice. I read a lot of Ranger Jim’s advice on this board, and when I’m running, hurting, just wanting to stop, I think to myself “Never, never quit” and push on. 25+1. Also, I would love the opportunity to talk to either ...

Re: Introduction - Veronica

Roger Ranger Disinfertention.
I’ve been stretching them and using a deep tissue roller so they’re healing up.
I didn’t do any warmups before the sprints nor stretched enough after, so that probably led to why they’re bothering me now. At least I should be good to go before my first run at basic.

Re: Introduction - Veronica

Rangers, One week left to go. Not much has changed since my last SITREP. Still taking it easy over here, but honestly getting more nervous as my ship date draws near. I know I’ll do just fine, though. I ended up getting some shin splints from doing sprint workouts so I’m not running until I get to b...

Re: Introduction - Veronica

Roger Ranger Lunch and thank you for the advice! Today, it is exactly two weeks from my ship date, so I figured it would be a good day for a SITREP. I’ve added sprints into my workouts to bump my run time up as much as I can before I go, and have been studying my Warrior Skills handbook a bit. I’ve ...

Re: Introduction - Veronica

Roger Ranger Disinfertention, I spent all of yesterday in my room playing Minecraft with my little sister, so I’m definitely enjoying myself before I go haha. Also planning a BBQ going away party and Six Flags trip, so I’m getting all my fun time in. Just studying here and there so I don’t burn out ...

Re: Introduction - Veronica

Ranger Disinfertention, It’ll be three weeks this Tuesday, I’m counting down the days haha. My 1SG gave me the Warrior Skills handbook and I’ve been reading it thoroughly. He also gave me land nav supplies and other STPs to study. I’ve also completed the Future Soldier training program online so hop...

Re: Introduction - Veronica

Thank you Ranger Xray and Ranger Disinfertention! I actually misremembered my SU and run times, my SU were 67 and run was 17:44, making my score 255. I definitely am working on that run time. I need to work on sprints and breaking that mental barrier so I can push myself harder. I love running, just...
