Re: Introduction - Owen
Owen, welcome to ArmyRanger.com. This website is a great resoruce for getting ready for RASP, and the military in general. Make sure you read the stickies, forum rules, and look into the Letters From School Thread to see what to expect on your path. Also, edit your signature line to reflect your con...

Re: intro dr101
dr101, read the stickies and rules as Ranger Disinfertention pointed out. Do pushups.
Tell us more about yourself, what is your PT level like? Why do you want to be a Ranger? Did you play team sports? Have you considered becoming an officer?
Reply soon, looking forward to it!

Re: Introduction - Blake
Blake, While it is ok to think about your future, and the "what ifs", do not get hemmed up about them. If this is something that you truly want to do, then commit to the door and do it. Your next task is to research the MOS's that Regiment offers, pick 3 interesting ones and let us know wh...

Re: Introduction - Blake
Blake, you need to do what you think is right for you. No one can make that decision for you, your parents can't, and your siblings can't. You need to look inside yourself and decide what YOU want to do. In terms of preparing physically while balancing school work, I know that is not easy. From that...

Re: Introduction - Hayden
Hayden, While those PT scores are indeed low, you have not enlisted yet so you can only go up from here. I will say as well, if you want to go down the road of becoming a Ranger, then you have to commit to the preparation 100%. If you go into this not prepared, then I promise you that you will not s...

Re: Introduction
Sam, welcome to ArmyRanger.com. I'll start with this. Why do you actually want to be a Ranger? What is so interesting to you? Have you explored the other MOS's that Regiment is taking currently? Research the Ranger Creed, memorize it, and explain what it means to you here. As a wise Ranger once said...

Re: Introduction - Bryce
Bryce, your scores are very low like you mentioned. Keep in mind however that this is a baseline, and you have ALOT of work to do which is why you came here like you said. My first assignment for you is to start digging through and checking out the Physical Training section on this forum, because at...

Re: Introduction: Gavin
Gavin, good SITREP. Now, let's dive into it. You will run into GOTWA's at almost every point in your military career, no matter where you end up. GOTWA's are a standard taught at Ranger School, and you will most likely learn about them in RASP 1 as well. They are used for a main purpose of accountab...

Re: Introduction: Gavin
Gavin, great SITREP save for your 5 mile time. I suggest you look into doing 60-120 interval sprints to help out with your cardio, and don't be afraid to go full afterburner on your runs when you are preparing. Ensure that you are stretching though because running at this level is tough on your join...
