My PT results as requested: Push-ups: 80 Sit-ups: 105 2-mile run: 12:15 Pull-ups: 30 I've been rather lethargic these past few months(after learning I was dq'd from the Air Force I stopped training as much as I used to) but I hope to improve all my scores by at least 20%. Thank you Ranger Sleepy Do...

Re: Familial Ramifications
Now, I understand where you are coming from, because my parents and the rest of my family seem to think that what I wish to do is purely idiotic. They've gone as far as to say that they will have no contact with me, should I go. What you do in life will reflect your true sense of character, and is ...

Getting in the Regiment without Opt 40
Pardon me Ranger Tater Nuts, perhaps there is a misunderstanding. I want to be part of the best of the best, and there are more than enough examples that that unit is the 75th. I feel like I would best serve my country as a Ranger, specifically a Ranger medic. I want to help people and would undoub...

Re: Getting in the Regiment without Opt 40
Hey guys, I come to you with a question. I originally tried getting into the AF(PJ contract) but I was DQ'd for my vision. I talked to an Army recruiter and he was able to get me in. I told him I wanted to go 68W with Opt 40, but he said he just learned today that since I have a waiver, I am inelig...

Re: Introduction: Nick
Hi Nick, welcome to the board. Never Quit, Never Give Up. I know a lot of Rangers who were told they were ineligible due to some problem or another. There are a lot of Rangers on here with a lot of experience, tap their brains and see what happens. Never quit. RLTW I had a few of my friends get tol...

Re: Introduction: Nick
Welcome. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but it used to be that the only way a prior service soldier could enlist into the AF was if they were coming from and going into USSOC command (read; Ranger, SF, 160th SOAR into Pararescue) They are the most particular about their enlistment standard...

Re: Firefighting careers
Hello sir, I'm planning on enlisting in the Army within the next week with a 68W Opt 40 contract. I was just curious, with 68W training and combat experience, it would be relatively easy for me to find a job in firefighting afterwards, right? Of course, my first step is to make it through Ranger sc...
