Re: Introduction: Tyler

Addressing Rangers, Ranger Cams. I apologize if my delivery was off. I train every day. My 5 mile time is always sub 35 min, ruck stays over 4 mph with 65lbs. I swim 2-4 miles 3 times a week, running upwards of 60 miles a month. Weights are mostly irrelevant, but I supplement my calisthenics with th...

Re: Introduction: Tyler

Stopping by to say that I am still alive. Received a phone call yesterday stating that I will hear on the 14th if I am "cleared" or if they need more paperwork. Sorry this is taking so long - it doesn't look good on my part.

Re: Introduction: Tyler

Rangers, Finished my final medical examination yesterday and submitted the paperwork to MEPS (this was to clear my past knee injury and anemia). Assuming they like what they see, I will be cleared to select an MOS. I am sorry for how long it has taken for an update: this is the only progress that ha...

Re: Introduction: Tyler

MEPS requested paperwork on some items they found listed in my medical summery: knee pain, tinnitus, insomnia and anemia - things I was tested for a couple years ago with little or no findings. I submitted the write-ups on these issues yesterday; the good news is they did not seem to require anythin...

Re: Introduction: Tyler

Roger Ranger Jim; I have submitted all paperwork on my vision - the doctors at MEPS told me that having amblyopia does not require any further documentation or waivers. With that sorted, they are submitting for a waiver. Apparently the doctor who signs off on these waivers is fairly capricious with ...

Re: Introduction: Tyler

MEPS went as expected: I require a waiver to clear my ADHD diagnoses, but before they can submit for that, they require further documentation on my vision problem. Passed everything else on the physical. It will probably take a couple weeks before I have any new information.

Re: Introduction: Tyler

Rangers: I was told that I may be submitting for a waiver for ADHD, but that this would not hinder my Option 40 contract. Is this true?

Re: Introduction: Tyler

Roger Ranger Jim. Got the call this morning - paperwork has been cleared and they're gonna try and get me to MEPS next Thursday. I've looked through the available MOS's, although I have had my heart set on Infantry for a while. If, however, 11x is not available, what should I expect from a "sup...

Re: Introduction: Tyler

Just got a call from my Recruiter - no progress as of yet. They believe that the Navy transferred my entire medical record (which is longer than the bible) to Army MEPS, and so it may take them awhile to go through that... I took an APFT today to replace the Navy one I posted previously. My results ...

Re: Introduction: Tyler

Ranger Jim, The MEPS station in Salt Lake City is apparently experiencing some issues in the staffing department, and not many people are getting medically processed out of Las Vegas. I spoke with my recruiters boss last week, and he said they try to maintain a strict 72-hour turn around time on pap...

Re: Introduction: Tyler

Ranger Gains, Thank you for the encouragement - its good to hear that someone succeeded with a worse condition than me. Roger that on the sit-ups. My 5 mile run time is averaging 38 minutes (goal is <35) and I can maintain a 8-9 minute/mile pace for 8-12 miles. My main concern right now is improving...
