I don't recall if Bill was from Philly or not.

Re: Towed Jumper.

Gunny - Off topic, but is there any word on when your book about Grenada will be released? Or did I already miss it? There seems to be a whole lot of history there captured in the little stories and details like that. I'd love to read about them. Nope. You didn't miss it. Still working through some...

Re: Towed Jumper.

The rumor is incorrect as already pointed out. Was there a towed jumper during the Grenada operation? Yes. Two actually. Bill Fedak from Weapons Platoon, B/1/75. The other was Marlin Maynard from Weapons Platoon, A/1/75. In both cases, the jump masters, along with USAF crewmembers and Ranger jeep cr...

Re: Operation Urgent Fury

Eric, Working through the 18hr sequence for both Battalions along with the planning cells at JSOC. Jeez what a nutroll! With that said, I'd like to have most of the maniscript complete by the time I return from Kandahar. I've been working on it at night when I come off shift. Good to hear from you. ...

Operation Urgent Fury

I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank all of our Grenada veterans on the board. Monday the 25th marked the 27th anniversary of Operation Urgent Fury.
So thank you again for what you did and for setting the standard for all of us.
S/F and RLTW!

Looking for Jim Hicks, B/2/75 Grenada Raider

Does anyone have good comms with Jim Hicks, Mortar Section, Weapons Platoon, B Co, 2-75, early 80's timeframe? He used to post on several of the Ranger-related boards but dropped off the net. I was hoping to touch base with him again.
Thanks,
Mooch

Re: Intro post

Mooch, you are correct, Magician and I servred together. I believe You and I corresponded briefly about a project you were working on. Cyanide, Roger that. I believe you were busy with work related issues the last time we had spoke. Magician did pass me some stuff you had written down about Calivig...

Re: First ones on the ground in Operation Urgent Fury?

I wanted to bump this thread. I know there are a few more Raiders on ArmyRanger.com who made that jump. I'm hoping they'll contribute to it.

Re: First ones on the ground in Operation Urgent Fury?

I'm glad that we were able to get this thread back on target. Like I said to PAC Man in a PM, whatever JR's tendencies were, when the time came he hooked up and did the job when it counted. You have to respect that. Mac, did you see him moving out towards the assembly area or was he there when you a...
