Yeah, the vaccine puts you at high risk for complications. Apparently, in the past when people had eczema, the virus could spread to the eczema patches and infect them. Usually the reaction would heal, but it could be fatal in rare cases.

I have had mild eczema in the past, and I just found out that eczema sufferers should not receive the smallpox vaccine, and this can get in the way of an Option 40 contract. I searched the board and found a thread about eczema, but there wasn't much info. What should I do ...

I received a letter from the Army Recruiting Command today about Special Forces; the DVD should arrive in a few weeks. When I filled out the online form, I must have typed in something wrong. I apologize for nagging everyone. Thank you.

It isn't so much the DVD as the Army Recruiting Command's refusal to send me the DVD; for all I know, I may not qualify for securing the 18X contract, which is a major concern. I still have 4 semesters left of electrical engineering, so I won't enlist till I graduate. I'm just trying to get a head ...

I am 24 years of age, so that new policy does not affect me. Really, I have no idea why they sent that letter; perhaps, it was a clerical error.
