Re: Introduction - Brent

Brent, I think you may have some misconceptions as to what exactly human intelligence collectors do in Regiment/elsewhere in the military. Without going into great detail, the vast majority of their job is putting together intelligence briefings for leadership and platoons going out on missions. I h...

Re: Intro- Zach

Welcome to the forums. My first piece of advice for you is to never settle on any contract they you're offered unless it's the one you want. It doesn't matter what your recruiter or MEPS promises you, if it's not on paper it won't happen. Your run time looks pretty solid, keep up on your cardio but ...

Re: Introduction - Marvin

Congratulations on your decision to strive to become an Army Ranger. One small piece of advice that can change your entire military experience: Enlistment is the ONE time you get to call your own shots as far as what you aspire to become in the military. Once you enlist, Uncle Sam gets to make most ...

Re: The Workout Thread

Everyone heed Hatch22's program designed by Military Athlete. I can't vouch for their APFT program, but I'm a fan of Mountain Athlete's (same owner) "Big Peaks" program which is awesome for alpine climbing. A good program if you need help for rucking. Don't rely on Mountain Athlete for any...

Re: Annoyed with Verizon

From my understanding, 4G doesn't actually exist. They supposedly have the technology but not enough power to push it from the towers, or something to do with the phones not having the power to push 4G back out to the towers. Can't recall exactly how it was explained to me. I don't really understand...

Re: Calloused Achilles Tendon Area?

I've gotten them from both boots and shoes. I just picked up a new pair of Merrell barefoot style shoes, and the back edge is very rigid which is no doubt the cause of the blistering. Just wondering if it was even possible to form a callous there, as that's really the only part of my foot that hasn'...

Re: Doctors in Ranger Regiment

Not sure exactly how to answer you, but I'll give it my best shot... In Regiment, and allotted to the line Battalions, there are PA's and Surgeons. In my experience, they can get as involved in doing 'Ranger' activities as they want. When they choose to do these things, they work in a similar capaci...

Calloused Achilles Tendon Area?

Greetings! As we are all too familiar with blisters and the calluses that inevitably follow, I was wondering if anyone here could possibly answer this. In my experience when blisters form, calluses all but inevitably follow if the area is consistently irritated. But I have one area on my foot that j...

I think tinnitus is a prerequisite or something to come to Battalion... That, or maybe it's just something most guys develop over the years!

Re: Finally got the fucker!!!!!

Good riddance!!!!!! Let us not forgot how we got to this point either... Rest in peace to the FDNY, NYPD, US Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force Personnel who have given their live because, and since, the attacks of such an inhumane human. The death of this asshole is monumental based off of the...

If you get a chance at being intel in the RSTB, do it! I'm very jealous of those guys... As far as being intel in one of the line battalions, well... I'm honestly not too sure about what they do. :?

Re: Rangers, I need some advice

Ranger KW Driver, I didn't put "Ranger" in front of his name. That's right you didn't... Start knocking them out if you haven't already! I consider myself a pretty chill guy, but you have so much to learn if you truly want to be a part of the Brotherhood. Consider all of what you have lea...
