Re: Introduction- CON
Welcome to the site. The choice to be a Ranger Medic means the longest and arguably the hardest path to getting into the Ranger Regiment. There is a great review by Ranger Bloody_Limey on this site. That should serve as a good starting point. If and when you choose to move forward with your choice t...

Re: Med Issues - PRK, Kidney Stone
Bill, I can see that however, in the small little world it seems that while they love the high school graduates they also want some seasoned people. It helps to balance things. Plus it is getting to be a "smarter" army. Getting that to a 1 on your PULHES would be awesome. I too have a 2 in...

Re: Sitrep from Grim666
Well I am in-processing Ft. Benning now. Should be done next Wednesday hopefully. All of these wonderfully scheduled mandatory briefs. I have been spending any free time I have over at RSTB figuring out how the day to day goes. Pre-SOCM is a bit different now but still the same reasons behind all th...

Re: Med Issues - PRK, Kidney Stone
Hey tell them you know a 34 year old who got one. I had to push but I got it. I was the biggest pain to my recruiter. I called almost daily. They were happy when I got it.

Re: Sitrep from Grim666
Ok last update till I go to Battalion. We have essentially finished our clinical time here in Tampa. I was at Tampa General Hospital for my time. Now it is simply clean-up and re-fit and move out first thing Monday morning back to Fort Bragg for graduation and out processing. It was a great time, le...

Re: Intro - John
John, As a newly enlisted (only 2 years in) 68W who is finishing up their training, and a husband with 4 kids, I can tell you that your wife's support will be paramount. With your MOS I am not 100% sure what you will do on a daily basis however, as with most things in regiment it will be longer days...

Re: Sitrep from Grim666
Ranger Steadfast PeterK has hit a wall in his training. I can elaborate however would prefer to do it in a PM if that is ok. Another update, we are now on Xmas break. Our class got ours early since we will be leaving for our hospital rotations on 29Dec2013. The other 3 Rangers I am with I am proud t...

Re: Introduction-Matthew
First congratulations on the Opt 40. Second you are among professionals here, I suggest you conduct yourself as such, that includes proper capitalization. Make sure you use it. Third I would suggest going to the letters from school thread and read bloody limey's cap of SOCM, that is what you will ha...

Re: Son in RASP
dtjiii, I am currently at Fort Bragg. I have heard from some of the guys who just recently came from PreSOCM that things have changed a bit since I was there. Tell your son that it is not over and that PreSOCM is a HUGE part of him getting to SOCM. You can PM me for more details if you want or you c...
