Re: Truths For Mature Humans
Eh, yea 28 is probably more true than any of them...I live it. You can tell things are getting bad when Peter from Family Guy is considered the hands down, funniest thing you will ever see. Lord help my generation, half of my age group had to google who Bin Laden was.

Re: Intro-TaylorRay
Ranger Jim, thank you for giving me another chance. Honestly, when I first came across this site I thought this was just another forum where people could come here and pretend to be Rangers and talk about how they were war heroes. After creating an account and going through the forums I noticed some...

Re: Intro-TaylorRay
I am just now coming to realize the seriousness that Rangers possess. I know I screwed my first impression in this place but I will endeavor to be less stupid and keep quiet in things.

Ranger centermass I apologize for my post, I did not mean for it to be like that. I have been advised to keep my mouth shut about these things so that is what I will do from now on.

Re: Intro-TaylorRay
My name is Taylor and I am 16 years old and just graduated my sophomore year of high school. I have great interest in the military because of so much of my family being in it. I am very much considering joining the military and I am trying to find out if it is the right path for me or not. I am a me...

Overseas PT
Ive been unable to find a thread about this but I was wondering if when you guys are deployed if you can still PT? Is it a group thing or do they leave it up to the individual? I watched the documentary Restrepo and I couldnt imagine where those guys could PT. Just wondering how you all manage to st...

Re: AFPT: Rest during PU?
My JROTC instructor taught us to do as many as we could until we couldnt do any more, then to stick your butt in the air for 3 seconds and then drop down and do 3 more until the end of the test. Worked pretty well for our PT teams

Re: Weight Lifting to increase Push Ups?
I asked the football team trainer the same thing and he told be that bench press, inclined bench, bent over rows, and cleans will help some but curls and triceps extensions wont. He told me your muscles work as a team so you should work them together.

Re: Ranger Physical Training
Yea I can attest to having proper form myself. I went to a PT competition with my JROTC unit which consisted of PU,SU, and the 2 mile run. I did 58 of my pushups but apparently I only did 28 real pushups. I know I screwed myself I just wish he woulda counted out loud or told me how bad I was doing B...

Re: IF you thought basic was going to get you ready...
My dad told me they did aerobics when he went to OSUT in 83'. The instructor that did it apparently about killed them. He said those exercises reminded him of doing the robot XD
