Willis and I are in the same company but different platoons. He's doing well also but I'm sure he'll post a SITREP of his own.

Just finished BCT, on 36 hour this weekend. My mom flew down to visit, so far I've just been hanging out at the hotel resting and eating civilian food. IHOP this morning was heaven after 9 weeks of fake eggs at the DFAC
OSUT is going by quickly, been having a lot of fun and pushing through the parts ...

As most probably know, yesterday Obama awarded Staff Sgt. Robert Miller the Medal of Honor for his heroic acts in Gowardesh, Afghanistan.
The Army created a play-by-play video series of SSG Miller's last hours using Google maps.

I neglected to mention that on 20100727 I signed a 4yr 19wk 1X with option 40 contract and am officially a Future Soldier. Shipping 20110124 to Ft. Benning.

Back from MEPS and all squared away. Sworn in and have all of my paperwork sorted out. I did get a bit of hard time about my body weight (116 lbs at 5'10") but Doc says I'm fine, just not to lose anything, shouldn't be an issue. Quitting smoking combined with eating right and working out should help ...
